Default moved threads in 350z section

Thats all I see in this section, is there no way they can disappear after moved?

I realize this is probably not the best section to put this in, and my post about moved threads might get moved lol but it is in regards to the 350z section.

Visually it would improve the section if they would just disappear.

They eventually trickle down as they get replaced with new, more active threads. I agree it would be nice if there was something that would automatically purge them after a week or two.

The Admin just needs to turn off the "redirect" function. Then, when a thread is moved, it'll be completely moved with no redirect left behind.

Actually, we have the option to do that but the normal policy is to leave the re-directs on.

If people can't figure out the proper forum to post in the first place, how are they going to be smart enough to figure out where their post disappeared to later on?

Take a look back on some of the older pages in the "350Z" Forum and you will see that like 95% of the threads have been moved. Either most of the users here are retarded (I doubt this), or there isn't a clear cut means to determine which threads go where. Seems like its a lot of work for the Admins to keep moving all these threads.

What do you talk about in the "350Z" forum then? The Z is a car: there are only so many things you can talk about. If you talk about the car physically, it gets broken down into many a sub-part, and you move it to the other sub-forum. If you talk about taking care of the car, it gets moved... you see what I am saying here? Why even have this forum if everything is going to get moved?

For you the Admins sake, I would consider getting rid of the "350Z" section all together, and your problems would be solved to an extent; after that you'd only need to police the other minor forums for illegitimate postings (sounds like I am talking about bastard children haha)

but you can go back later and do a forum purge, then select/delete the leftover redirects. the thread stays but the redirect is gone. and your last statement is dead on.

but this section is a general discussion, meaning all those things not covered buy the rest of the forum. anyone with a shread of intelligence can figure that out themselves. the reason many threads get posted here instead of where they are supposed to be is 99.9% of the posters are lazy and are looking for a "quick answer" or they just pos tin the first available thread they can find instead of searching for their own answer.

My theory (on the boards I admin) is that if they're too stupid to figure it out, they're too stupid to contribute in any meaningful way. Kinda like Darwinism for the cyber world.
