First you have to go to the NHTSA web site and get a Federal form to fill out.

Fill out the form (it needs a VIN, so you have to wait to get your car first). Send it in to the govt. Get the OK from them and take it to you dealer. They can then order the part and install it.

I have the form already, just waiting for my car so I can complete it.

My big concern at this point is where the switch will be installed. The federal regs state that there has to be a status light to indicate when the bag is off that is visible to the driver. I hope it doesn't wind up being some ugly big *** key switch.
