This is why I park my car at least 2 ft. away from the line because people who park in front of me tend to cross the line very frequently. The same thing happened with my friend's RSX by an F-150.

Thanks, you summed it up nicely and saved me from 4 more pages of saying the same thing. How did you know it was THAT truck that hit you? Could have been someone else who then left immediately and then that truck parked there. Anyway, you don't have to guess - you are.

The OP is probably the dumbest poster I've seen on here. Not only is he dumb enough to do something stupid, this jack-off thinks it was the right thing to do. Seriously, the lack of intelligence shown for doing something so childish and then attempting to brag about it is mind-boggling.

The OP says the truck hit him and was parked too close. Is it possible JoeyMoron hit the truck when leaving the spot, not the other way around?

Funny that the OP is calling people on here wussies when he's the one who couldn't man up. Slashing somebody's tires is about as chicken$hit as it gets. Why didn't you poison his dog, too, chicken$hit?

-djb <-- perhaps the OP bought a Z because it was the only car he could spell....

When we blame others, we forget we have a choice. Last time I went to Home Depot (and any other store), there was single lane parking in the back area by no one. If you know people drive and park like idiots, why not park back there? If no one can park in front of you, they can't hit the front of the car, and if you hug the curb on one side, the chance they will ding the one side of your car that is showing is decreased. At least you could have done all you could to avoid it. You can think what you did was justified all you want, but it wasn't. It appears nothing that anyone says here is going to change that, so, I vote to the thread and all others this poster puts up.

JoeyFyed, it's people like you that have HORRIBLE luck. Why? Because Karma screws with those who screw with others.

Apparently you deserved this little scratch... you probably kicked a puppy the day before.

There is no reason to act like this.

Uninsured motorist coverage does not cover repairs to your car.

If he parked over the line take pics of it and turn it in. I persoanlly dont think you were in the right mind set in all of this, and I know you dont care, because thats the way you are. Your trying to rationalize what you did was the right thing and how it saved you money. Either way whats done is done and that cant be changed, but I dont believe it was the right decision on your part.

I believe that is exactly what uninsured/underinsured coverage is for. What else would it be for, damage to the uninsured driver for his car? But using it in this case might still affect your rates. In a normal situation, your insurance covers you if the other driver does not have insurance and then your company goes after the uninsured driver in civil court. The OP did not take the time to even find out so it is a moot point anyway. As said before, though, karma is a bit*h and Joey will get his some day.

Uninsured motorist coverage covers you meaning loss of wages, medical bills ect... not your car.. thats what comp and collision are for.

Edit, and you are correct, he didnt even look into it farther then just wanting revenge (for something he cant prove).

Naaa... One day some "construction worker" might put a 2" gash in his bowels. A tire can be replaced easily... but the large intestine
What goes around comes around, in spades !

i had liability and unisured motorist on an old car, and was hit by someone with no insurance, and my insurance company covered all damages to my car.

Probably just semantics but I think if you get tagged by an uninsured motorist
it does not come under comp and collision. No difference though, it is still your carrier who pays instead of the fool who drives without coverage. Any insurance agents out there who know how it would affect your rates?
I know this is off-topic but we have all pretty much summed up that the OP is an a-hole anyway, not that I necessarily believe he even slashed the trucks tire to begin with.

Dude...

You're a huge douchebag. I guess if the 10+ people telling you that won't change your mind, then nothing will.

I weep for the future.

It's scary... breeding is easy, and he passes along his DNA and social behaviour to his offspring. No wonder the world is in such a mess these days.
