You should drive your Z right through the front door of the dealership. That will teach them.....Just be careful because you dont have anymore airbags.

I would go to the local news people about it. All of the television news people here in my town have a consumer advocate and if you have one in your town maybe they can help you. Plus you might get your 15 minutes of fame out of it.

No way they should go off that easily. I have had my share of accidents and most of the time the bags haven't went off. They (should) take some serious effort to get them to deploy like that.

But I will have no side curtain airbags for passenger anymore. :/ and the SRS light on odometer will stay on. I work at a body shop and got an estimate for $4500 if i went through insurance.
Wow. No offense, but how much of a brain do you have? Do you not realize that this is an open and shut case for even the sh*ttiest of lawyers?

I was wondering why he did this too, I would just have let that car at the dealer.

Having an airbag explode at random is a scary thought. I would most definitely be on the phone with a lawyer. Thank God you didn't have a passenger. If that had have happened on your side you more than likely would have lost control and hurt yourself or someone else on the road.
I'm sorry to hear about this man, keep us updated.

yeah id like to know the outcome also, it looks like your initial story was all wrong.

My assumption is you were pounding your secretary and the side airbag went off, you didnt want your wife to assume anything so you said it randomly went off, nissan said theres no way that happened we arent giving you anything for free.

Just hope the secretary was hot :P

Oh Jesus....now we're suing over things that MIGHT have happened.
