i just have to say that the spoiler on the G35c is really tacky .. i dont think it helps the styling cue's .. as for the Z .. what can i say .. she is a real beauty
The G35 is a good looking car, don't get me wrong, but it looks like "well we can't make a 2+2 350Z...hey, lets design it as an Infiniti, and it can be the coupe version of the high performance G35." Where as the Z seems uncompromizing, honset, and simply more original, because it was designed from the start from a fresh sheet of paper. It looks less practical, less common, which is why people "oh and ah" it the way they would a Porsche or a Lotus.
Yeah it does seem that the Z is a lot wider, also the exhaust tips are spread apart more, which is nice too. I just dont really like the G's taillights, and the large un-blemished area below them - I think Nissan was smart to put the reverse lights down lower there to break things up a bit.
Anyone have the actual width of the two cars to compare the real difference?
The Z's most attractive feature is the rear view, I agree. I was scrolling through the pics on Nissan's website and as I came to the rear view, I asked my wife to take a look. She's a talented artist and has a good eye for pleasing shapes and thought the rear view was striking and very well drawn.
A couple of hours later, she came in while I was back to surfing the site and said we should order the Z instead of the RSX-S. We ordered it the next day.
Boomer--when its right, don't wait. Incidentally, I prefer the G35 Sedan over the coupe. If the Z did not exist, I'd buy the sedan in a heartbeat. My first time ever to prefer the shape of a 4 door sports sedan over a coupe with a similar drivetrain. Curious.
