That's the 2005 35th manual, and 2006 manual Z engine. It's got a 7K redline (rev-up from the 6.5K engine from previous years)...which was replaced by the 2007 HR engine.

Now to think of it...is my revup 7K redline...or 7.5K redline...don't remember.

Nice!

I understand about the 7k redline = rev-up and anything less is non-rev-up. What has me confused is what determines which Z's get a rev-up and which ones get the non rev-up? i.e., m/t=rev-up, a/t=non-rev-up,?

I think it has sometime to do with drag racing. Like when you rev-up your 350Z and make it go fast.

Mine's an '06.5 5AT and the redline's at 7500. :|

Edit: I just ran into my garage, and the actual reading on the gauge has the redline at around 6,700... But I could've sworn I've had it over that. Hmmm...

I'm pretty sure Rev up motors are the 2005 35th anneversary 7k redline and the new 350z's. Non revup is the 2003 to 2005's ( that arent 35th anneversary ). But if thats what it is i may be wrong why are 5/16 plenum spacers for non revup more expensive then the revup motors?

I doubt all, most, or even many of the rev-up motors had the oil buring issue. The Forums are not a good way to gauge problems.

Anyhow, 35th Anv. AND TRACK models in 05 Got the 300hp Rev up.
All 2006 Manual Z's got it as well.

OMG, that took a long time to get meaningful and accurate info. I just want follow up on Archbishop's post and say the revups do infact have a 7k redline, not 7.5.

Actually the REV-UPs have a 7200 rpm redline not a 7500. The HR has the 7500 redline.

A option that lets you have a light that flashes to warn you when you need to shift. You can set it at what rpm you wish it to start flashing that is all.

I just checked my 35th and it redlines at 7K. I got a question though, someone said you don't want to get the revup engine, and I'm wondering why. I think mine is sweet, but I can't say I know if they have problems or not.
