20 years old here. I don't mind my insurance... $160 month with gieco

 

I'm 22, and just got the car. So I'll tell you in about a week. But when I was under Progressive, I found out that I could fully insure my car, and another car, for less than what I was paying before.

Basically, just check around, and check what it is when you insure a $500 car too as your "daily driver". It's kind of weird, but insuring a much cheaper car too, that doesn't even have to work, could save you lots of money. You can check it on their websites, it wouldn't hurt anything.

 

would you believe it if I told you that for me and my car its a little under 6k a year? BTW I'm on my parents plan w/ Geico.

I bought my Z when I was 19, everything mine & in my name. Started at $260/month, and 6 months later when I renewed it was $200/month.
