Get the 05. It is pre-HR so there are a ton more mods for it than the 07's. Plus by 05 all the problems are solved (maybe not the 5th gear grinding, though). Also, because it is the model right before the minor exterior make-over, it will probably be cheaper.

05 and 06 have been highly recomended based on what you all said but 07 is what everyone is recomending for me to go 13's WHEN i do modify it.
brickyardzee : without teh supercharger, what kinda gains am i looking at????? 10hp?20?
ive read the thread of 287hp vs 300 BUT what i want to know is, is there seriously a difference between racing A STOCK 2003or2004 VS 2005 or 2007??

After these it gets tougher but you could add underdrive pullies and a lower plenum replacement and maybe get it to +40rwhp. If you want to go beyond that you will need to replace the cams which will cost you about 1k and close to that or a little more to be installed. Possible hp gains with those is 13 to 15 rwhp so maybe all toll your at +50rwhp give or take a few.
Think about it though. To do all this you will have spent about $4500 to $5500 and received a +50rwhp gain. Spend about the same amount, most likely a little more to get a supercharger and get 1.5 to 2x that amount of gain. It's all in what you want and how you want to do it. NA will be more reliable and you can spread the cost out over time as you build it up but F/I will give you more power in the end. Although many of the NA things will help and increase hp even further when combined with F/I.
