No. They're considered wear and tear.

nope...but consider this a chance to get much better pads...i think Hawk makes a great pad that fits stock brakes...

my brakes are going out also at only 15k miles...what else besides replacing the brake pads is there to do to the Z when servicing the brakes?

that should be it as long as it's just a street vehicle...if you take it to the track or auto-x then maybe some high temp fluid (not better performance just won't boil after 30 min in hot conditions) and maybe stainless lines...but you'd really have to be abusing it to need them.

Also...great time to check caliper bolts and suspension components...if you drive on roads with high vibration you chance loosening things up.

the most important part is to seat the pads...most people get done wrenching and want to just play...take the time to follow the procedure and the car will thank you for it.

wow 13K, you must really brake hard? Install Hawks, no brake dust!

Are those Hawks ceramic? People rip on the stock metallics but I found them to grip fairly well. True, the ceramics will have almost no brake dust but will they bite well? To the OP, replace all of your pads. If you do just fronts, you may upset the brake bias and end up with premature ABS engagement during hard braking. I am living with that now and it's annoying. I may replace the rears now because of that even though they still have some life left in them.
