lol everyone is so mean but yet expressing what they feel, honestly if you dont enjoy your car then get another. You either:

A. Stop thinking about how much money gas consumes and monthly payments

or

B. Lose that 9k resell value and then pay for another car that you have to put more money into but overall will save you gas in the long run? The amount of gas money you save WILL NOT be worth it

Take some of this into perspective. I traded in my Z for a 2 door SRT-10 ram. I had my 03 Track Edition Z for 4 years. Simple bolt on upgrades. I abused the dog **** out of that car and it always kept giving. When I let it go I had 61k miles on it. I drove it like I stole it from the moment I got it to the moment I traded it in. Reasons for trading it in? I felt like it had been a great car, had never left me stranded. I had a great relationship with that car. I figured I would part ways with it before things started breaking, replacing this and that. Let it go while I still had fond memories of it. My good memories issues come from owning a 90 TT 300 ZX. It has been broken more than it has been running, but I still love it, still have it. But that's why I let the 350 go. I didn't want another love hate relationship. So I let it go on a loving memory. Now I could kick myself in the a$$. The vehicle I traded it in for is faster, sucks 3 times the amount of fuel, resale value sucks just as much *****, turns just as many heads as the 350 did and can scare the doo doo out of you at most any speed. But you know what, it's not a Z. I miss my car. I actually called the dealership, I was going to buy it back but it was sold then totaled.

Moral of the story? Don't be a moron. Keep your car.

Pathetic excuses, I gurantee your wife or girlfriend wants you to get rid of it. I think with those reasons for getting rid of the Z you may as well buy a VW Beetle, it looks like it would suit you a little more than the Z.

You come to brand/model-specific message board, and bad mouth the subject vehicle. Its a sport/performance car board, and you talk aobut SUVs and Honda Accords. What kind of response did you expect.

Would you go in a biker bar and shout "Harleys suck"?

By it's position and title you may think the Queerest Car of 2006 is a good thing. To the contrary, it's usually an entry level vehicle frequently driven by gay men on a budget. (Translation: I just need a car to get from work to the bar to home.) Saving a dime can be cool too, but must styling be sacrificed? I surveyed many gay men to find the queerest car of 2006 and they all turned their nose up a the same vehicle- the 2006 Ford Focus.

Sigh... from the threads I've read through this morning, I suddenly remember why I only visit the photoshop section of the forum....

I'll stick up for the OP....

When did he bad mouth the Z??? I missed that one! He stated things, nicely might I add, about things he disliked about the Z. In return his has been nothing but shat on about it.

To the OP

I bought my Z in Dec of 04 and had it for 2.5 years. At that point my fiance and I moved from FL to CA (where she is originally from). I have a spotless driving record. At the time I was 24 years old. My salary that I was being payed in CA was about 65% less then what I was making in FL. On top of that, the insurance company wanted $400 a month (yes, I checked other companies) to insure my Z (spotless record but also under 25...). I love(d) my Z but couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a car regardless of how much I loved it. Over a grand a month (after gas, payment and insurance) was not something I was willing to spend on a car, regardless of how much I loved it. I ate about 4k on my trade in and I miss my Z everyday!!! In the end, however, that was the right choice for me to make.

Good luck with your decision and remember to think with your brain (not just your heart). Hope you enjoy whichever car you end up with!

pft you have no idea what true deprecation of a car is

Go out and buy a domestic car GM, Ford or Chrysler and watch your car's value be reduced to 50% of its original invoice price (not MSRP) after 3 years.

As for a corvette, they do get 30MPG on the highway, but then you have to deal with problems such as a leaky rear and an interior you can find in a $13,000 Chevy cobalt.

Man thats pretty high for insurance, Im 22, have full coverage and all the extra bells and whistles and have one speeding ticket and pay $210 a month.

I cant explain why it was so pricey for you. There must be a hidden reason somewhere or you just had some bad luck picking the most expensive insurance companies out there.

But good thinking trading your Z if it wasny working for you get what works.

That's what I said too... I was paying 130 in FL. Like I said, the only reasons I could figure was that I was under 25 and driving a sports car (maybe the area has had a lot of issues with "younger" people with Z's).

I hope the OP sees this and understands that he needs to do what is right for HIM in this situation and not care what everyone else thinks about it.

Thanks a lot bro. It seems decesions that are best for you are never liked by people on here..This would free up a lot more money for me to invest into my home..Sorry that is more important to me..I really just use my car as my daily driver and to go to work and back, im not into racing or shows or any of that crap..Getting something like a TSX I would probably save 200 dollars or so a month..Sorry that is worth it to me..

I have a personality and dont need a car to define it for me..

Yeah I actually had a tsx before I bought my G. It was a GREAT car and I liked it, but I was bored to death in it. If you do get one I at least recommend a 6MT because they are silky smooth and make it a lot more fun to drive. Good luck with your decision and dont listen to all of these guys we just really love our cars!

Right here:

"A big part of it is how much it has depreciated in value compared to other companies cars..somehow it has lost 9k in one year in value..That is crap..

Another thing, for some reason, I dont even drive it hard, but I only get about 20 mpg with a mix of city and highway. For as soft as I drive it, that is crap.."
