At some point, Nissan changed the anticipated date-range for delivery from Aug/Oct, to Sept/Nov. I'm trying to see approximately when this happened. To do this, I need to know:

a - What is latest date someone ordered and still rec'd the Aug/Oct delivery window.

b - What is the earliest date someone ordered to receive the Sept/Nov delivery window.

Everyone doesn't need to post here, just post if your info changes the late or early date.

I ordered 3/26, and rec'd Aug/Oct. If you ordered after this date, and rec'd same confirmation letter, then please post, and yours would now be the new later date.

Likewise, if you rec'd the Sept/Nov confirmation letter, please post the date you ordered, and then other people who rec'd this letter need only post if they ordered earlier.

I preordered 2/19/02. Brochure gave me Sept-Oct window for delivery. Heard from dealer Thursday and he said my Performance Super black 350Z would arriving at the dealer in the 2nd week of September. Said mine was scheduled as one of the first he recieves.

 

I don't think any of the confirmations contained a Sept-Oct window, I think they are all either Aug-Oct or Sept-Nov. BTW, I ordered mine March 29 and got a Sept-Nov. window.

 

BTW Scaf, I just saw your signature, that is hysterical. I bet James Bond gets the same emails.

So based on you (robbyn) ordering just a couple days after me, and receiving the later delivery window, I'm going to assume that I ordered right near the change. This kind of makes sense, because the first time I contacted NNA, they seemed surprised that I rec'd the earlier delivery window on my confirmation. They told me they would send me another letter with the later window (not exactly the result I wanted from contacting them)

 

I ordered March 26 and have the Sept-Nov window

 

Ordered 3/1, Aug-Oct window.

 

I ordered back in early January and got a Aug-Oct. delivery from the Nissan confirmation letter. Dealer tells me that I can expect an October deliver

Anyone else with the same screwed up situation?

 

I ordered 4/1 and received Aug-Oct.

 

My correct delivery window was August- October preorderd on 2/19/02.

 

Ordered 3/22, received Aug/Oct. Dealer originally said Sept 15 delivery, now saying October.





That's my story and I'm sticking to it

 

Pre-ordered June 8 and received Aug-Oct window, though dealer says to expect it to arrive in early October.

 

I ordered on 2/11 and my window is August-October. I was unaware other preorders were September-November until right now. This makes more sense since I talked to my salesman and the inventory manager yesterday. I was told 2 of their preorders were being built now. So they will be here in late August or early Sept. I said, testing, mine will be here in Late September or early October, right? My salesman said , no yours was one of the first 4, looking at the iv manager, who said nothing and they both waited for my reaction. I just smiled and shook their hands and said thanks. I really didn't know what else to do since I think they aren't really sure themselves because they are getting info second-hand inside their own dealership, it appears.

I wish I could be more specific, but I could get my car in early, not late Sept. judging from their reactions. The dealer was alloted 7 cars, which will come in 2 batches; first batch of 4 in the Aug. to Oct. window and the second batch of 3 in the Sept.-Nov window. Am I tracking correctly? Have I missed something?

I ordered February 2nd, and my confirmation from Nissan was Sept-Nov. I checked with the dealer last Sunday, and they have me down for an October delivery.

Are we discussing the black confirmation letter that contained order details or some subsequent one. If the latter, I ordered mine late march and got a range of Aug - Oct. This doesn't seem to match with some of the other people that ordered in march. We have seen apparent instances when dealers did not fax in the order once received, I was calling my dealer daily to confirm that he did in fact send in my order.

I ordered on 2/20 and received confirmation letter on April 6th.. Also got an invitation to April 19th Houston car show.. (could not attend living in Atlanta, GA..
Confirmation letter said Aug to October..
I talked with my dealer yesterday.. they still dont have VIN yet.. but she says date of arrival is set for Sept. 3 or 4th.. BUT I feel
Strongly that more realistically looking at Sept 18th to 27th..
