Just about every car manufacturer limits cosmetic problems like squeeks and rattles to the first 90 days of ownership. After that, you're on your own.

Are you able to isolate the sound (it's location)? I notice you mention "trunk."

yea i am able to isolate it.. Its one of the black panels along the border of the trunk its the one right after the latch. The black panel that connects to the back bumper.

try putting some newspaper in there to see if it eleminates the sound. If it does then put something in there permanent.

Ah, i feel sorry for all you people with bad dealership experience. My dealer here replaced my entire passenger door panel because a single stitching was loose on the door armrest.
What sort of squeaking and from where? I would assume all that's required is a lube job... My door and hatch joints are all lubed for me everytime i take my car in for an oil change free of charge (the lubing only).
My experience with both acura and nissan dealers for me is that unless they can prove that i broke it somehow, it'll be fixed no questions asked under warranty. So therefore I would not pay.

Was it Bill Seidle Nissan out West Miami? These guys are bad about honoring warranty. I wouldn't ignore it (as suggested above) because a 'squeak' could be a symptom of a larger problem. Note: not sure noises are covered. Newspaper, WD-40, etc. Good luck.

Every car has rattles, at least the cars in my general price range. And it gets worse when you actually take the time out and hunt rattles; after that, unless you try and fix them, you will always be aware of all of your rattles. I'd ignore them before you drive yourself crazy.

My 03 Z was torturous when it came to rattles! in my 07 so far, I have only heard one from the rear hatch area; it doesn't bother me as long as the stereo is playing or have the windows down.

I got a rattle as well in my 04. Wouldnt even bother bringing it to the dealer. Those people give me a freaking headache. My Slave Cylinder is out and they wont replace it unless I pay for them to dismantle my tranny. Sick of Nissan Poor Service. The rattle I have comes from a panel in the trunk were the 3rd brake light is. If I put my hand there it will go away. If I give it a good wack it will go away. I need to pull it off and just put some kind of cushion for those medal clips.
