Default Nissans Parts Gaurantee?

So i just had my 03 track go in with a notorious 3rd gear grind do to a failed synchro. My powertrain warranty will expire in november and im worried that if i have another transmission issue it wont be covered. Now that the car has the newest CD009 transmission revision im curious as to how long (if at all) nissan gaurantees there parts. Some companies will gaurantee there service work and im seeing if this is the case with nissan.

Nissan parts installed by Nissan are guaranteed yes. The guarantee is written on the back of your work order.

Parts replaced under warranty are still covered by the remaining amount of the warranty.

when the warranty is over though, will the newly installed transmission still be covered under a seperate parts warranty.

For many of us 03 guys the 5yr/60k is coming to an end. I love this car, but the transmission horror stories scare me and although the CD009 has the dual cone synchros i still worry.

Warranty on replacement parts when installed by the dealer is the greater of your remaining factory warranty or 12/12K.

None of the above is true..

Why do I say that.. Experience.. Look Nissan Installed a NISMO LSD at the time of purchase of my 350z.

The lsd had two bolts either not torqued correctly or threads missing loctite. Ok, I got it.. The Disclaimer says Nissan wont warrantee the NISMO LSD because its an R-Tune part. But my arguement/anger is the simple fact no where in that disclaimer does it say. "IF YOU INSTALL THE NISMO LSD YOUR ENTIRE DIFFERENTIAL ISNT UNDER WARRANTY ANY LONGER!!"

First off, I am very angered with the fact Nissan simply mis-diagnosed my differential problem. Nissan tech said the entire differential needed replacement (BULL****) because the pumpkin had a hairline crack (I later dremeled slightly to reveal no crack at all)and there was bits of the bolt metal in the pinion gear teeth (scraped right off). There was no damage at all to the actual LSD (only scratches). The only replacement needed was the Diff Cover which had a huge crack and the Bolts that held the ring gear to the LSD(because 2 of them loosened over time off cracking the diff cover).

I wouldnt hold Nissan to any install warranty guarantee because they are notorious for screwing over customers.. Just do a search..

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...ssan+complaint

It will reveal hundreds of complaints against not only the Nissan Warranty but the Customer Service as well.

Trust me I do love my car.. But Nissan as a whole, customer service wise, and warranty gets no love from me!!

FYI R-Tune parts have NO warranty (along with anything the R-tune part touches IE nismo LSD = no Diff warranty).. S-Tune parts have 30,000 mile warrantee and may need to be installed at the time of purchase of the car.

And if any Nissan Dealer wants to chime in here be my guest..

Yes it is. Nismo R-tune parts are not covered by the same warranty as OEM parts. Just like STI parts aren't covered by Subaru's warranty.

Make sure you are able to duplicate the problem to your dealer.
