Make sure you get snow tires and you'll be fine. I did it last winter and it was actually a lot of fun to drive in the snow.

I was dumb enough to drive my car up to Lake Tahoe with stock tires couple months after I bought my 03'Z (just because you don't see this car anywhere and I wanted to show my homies up north, back in 2002.) Although I had VDC and LSD, plus snow chain, that was not a pleasant experience. There was a big storm that week, like 6 inches of snow in an hour. My car got stuck on the freeway, took me a while to get my car out, then we had to turn around and drove 2 hours back to a motel since the freeway was closed. I really don't think Z (or any other rear wheel drive cars) is a safe car to drive in snowy/icy places. If you need to have a Z, definitely switch to snow tires in winter, don't even think about driving on performance tires when the roads are snowy/icy. Good luck dude.
