Do you find it hard to heel toe in your Z?

The heel-toe technique is simply the merging of two required action. Slowing the car down and getting on the right gear for corner exit.

oh and i find it impossible on my z with the factory aluminum pedals, the gas pedal isnt long enough so i have to use the sides of my feet mainly.

I was just wondering if anyone else thinks its difficult to heal toe shift in your z. I can do it in most other cars but for some reason in my Z the brake and gas pedal are just not not positioned well. any opinions

In fact, I got to talking to the sales rep and got him to easily agree to making one with holes that matched the pattern on my pedal so it was easier to mount.
It makes reaching the pedal easy.

I installed Rennline pedals in my 987. Throttle extensions are available:

Just curious, could would I have a tab welded on to the left side of the gas pedal. Instead of spending a $100 on a new set of pedals, I have a guy at work who is a a awesome welder.

idk i could never get my big feet to function right in the Z. but the other night w/o shoes on i could do a correct heel-toe in my 240. but once i got back in with shoez on i had to use the half foot tech......big feet suck.

at first i thought it was very difficult coming from a bmw pedal placement. Also at first i would get my shoes caught in the pedals. so i started wearing smaller shoes and i started to get used to the pedal placement. id advise wearing smaller or slimmer shoes at first to get used to the pedal placement.

It was hard at first but if you use the left side of your foot for the brake and the right side of it for the gas its easier than using your heel and your toe. Its more like big toe little toe-ing.

Terrasmak said (a year ago!) "I took a tip from Randy Pobst .. What he did .. was bend the throttle pedal twords the brake pedal a little. So mine is bent over about 1/2 inch , and makes it so much easier to heal toe."
Question -- I'd like to do this , but how do you bend the brake pedal? Do you bend the vertical attachment rod? If so, where and how? I don't see how to bend/rotate the actual pedal. Thanks.
