I specifically asked if the 07's are governed and was told that they aren't.

I took mine up to 152... got it on video, it stayed at 152 for 5 full seconds and then i let off..... the vents were whistling hardcore also.... my car was very stable, i was driving with one hand and had camera phone aimed at digital speedo, was only one on road at night so no flame lol.

i hit 163 in my 03, i only had intake and exhaust at the time.

But now i have a pioneer navigation with the satellite speedometer, the stock digital gauge is about 7-10 mph off at those speeds.

now, why are you doing this? Hopefully theres a nice oval track near you and you can find out exactly how fast it really goes. I personally dont think i would ever take my Z over 130 on the freeway. Sure i can drive it just fine at that speed, but since its a public road, there are other factors involved. Like road degregation and other cars. And not to mention something called cops.

Yeah, all you'd need is another 15 mile stretch of highway at WOT to get a few more mph out of it...

I have an 07 GT, and I got it past the 160 mark this weekend. It looked like 165. I think it will go even higher. I forgot about the digital speedo. I'll have a buddy take a picture next time

No offense but if people are doing this on empty highways, theyre just endangering themselves so why worry over it. I know i didnt see a single car for miles and planned to do it on a freshly paved 2 lane interstate. And if your going that speed and a cop clocks you.... honestly your better off getting off at the next exit because a cop would NEVER be able to catch up if you blow by at 160.... yea he can radio ahead but at 3am there might not be another around for miles lol. Plus it really doesnt take that long to get up there, should time it.

We have a winner... 159 is the govern but the digi-speedo will display more, they could have increased it for the 07 though, yet to break 120 in mine.

Yeah these cars love the highway man.

I did 157 last weekend and had plenty to spare. It seriously doesnt tke long to get these cars moving. I would say I could hit 170 for sure. I was under the impression it was governed at 160 so I didn't want to hit it and let off around 157.

Yes, very impressive. I'm so impressed that I want all you idiots to call me whenever you're driving 160 on a public road so I can stay the **** at home that day.

Thanks!
