Default Color: Black or Red? Help me Choose.

Id like to decide on a color and basically its between black and red.

There are a few factors that are involved for deciding though.

Im 17
Red Draws Cop Attention
Black is hard as hell to keep clean
Parked outsides except during winter
Getting Nismo Package

For the most park I would be happy with either color although If i get black I would have to wash it atleast 2-3 times a week to keep it looking nice and I honestly wonder if I have time for that.

But... Im worried that my age and the fact that it is red will draw far to much attention for the already annoying police in this area who think its a crime for any teenager to drive whatsoever.

Could use a lil advice also a bit of opinion on which color you think looks best on a Nissan 350z.

Why just red or black, why not PPW, SMB, SO or others

Buy whatever you want why do you have to ask people to make your mind up for you? When you really buy a Z then post pictures.

If those are the two choices Black. Red does draw attention and thieves.
Black might be a little harder to take car of but, worth it.

Sounds like you should get silver or white however, if it is going to be outside that much.

Car covers help a bit.

Orange.

Easy to keep clean. (Doesn't show dirt like red or black.) A real head-turner. Better than red. Look at one in person before you decide.

The only scary thing about Redline is that it is non-metallic and has no clear coat. I bought one but I try not to wash it too often because I am scared it will develop swirl marks.

damn, nice car for your age. but red for sure. Black is sexy when clean, but red is sexy all the time. So what if it draws attention? You shouldn't be driving like an idiot anyways with only 2 years of driving experience. Well actually not at all. Except at tracks.

I think they all have clearcoats now. I can't imagine any new car that doesn't.

Red has clear coat. All nissan paints are basecoat clearcoat. If it didnt have a clearcoat it wont shine. The way you get swerl marks is by waxing it with a machine. Or if you hand wax it you need a soft type cloth to remove the wax. Dont wash it with house soap and dry with a shammy. Never take it to a car wash.

I might be a bit biased, but redline rules my man. If you aren't getting attention from the police in your red Mustang, then you won't have any problems with a red Z. Here's mine with full Nismo aero.

F*** it, go black. I like how the contrast from the rear tails stand out vs red.

Very true. Since you are 17 you can not be legally binded to a contract. So you are either getting a co-signer or your parents are paying... ....jk.
