Default Ok, 350z owners I'm tired of the bad reviews, tell me why I should by a Z!!!

I love the Z, but all the bad posts, about problems is starting to scare me! I want a enthusiast model, and I plan on buying in about 2 weeks. But I'm hesitent now, Tell me so good stories or good info about this car to make me want to buy it!!! I know there has to be good info out there, and I'm hoping nissan has fixed some of the problems by now. All info is welcomed!

People post the negatives. I just can't get up the energy on a daily basis to say I still really like my car after about 6K miles. It is the nature of car forums to seem slanted toward problems.

Nobody makes posts about how good their rear defroster works, or how they really like the texture of the carpet. They post that the passenger seat belt rattles if you don't put it up correctly or how a certain part of a seat may wear fast.

Bad reviews? All the magazines I've read love the car and I think a majority of Z owners love the car.

You only hear about the problems cause that's when people want to find advice, help, or to *****. When everything is running smoothly (which a majority are), all you here is "so when we gonna go do a run again?".

If you still want a Z but hesistant, wait for the next year production run.

ALL VEHICLES HAVE PROBLEMS

Whether you purchase a 350Z or not is a personal decision. You should not be so easily swayed by the opinions of others for a purchase you will be making. Good Luck with your decision.

I didn't mean reviews, all the review I have read have been great. I meant the posts on this board about the problems people are having. I love the look of the car, and I test drove one aswell. I didn't drive it very hard, but I like how smooth it felt. I"m still leaning towards the 350, ut I was hopping to see what owners had to say that was positive. I'm a huge autoxer and this car just seems like it would be great fun.

I bet if you asked everyone on the forum to write up a review of the car, the positives would outnumber the negatives by far. Like the others said, most people aren't going to come on the forum and start a new thread saying they like this, that, and the other about the car. That's why it seems there are a disproportionate amount of negative "reviews".

Do a search. There are a couple threads that will be helpful. One is titled something like "Would you buy it Again". Another is a poll showing most folks are happy.

IMO some people are WAY **** about things. I've had mine a month...not a single problem or complaint other than it isn't broken in yet (200 miles to go).

If you can afford it, get it. You won't be sorry. This is a good car.

I am 1 of the people with all the problems,( 2 transmissions, ecu problem, grease, rear axles,etc..) BUT, I would still buy another one without hesitation!!! what does that tell you about the car... What else are you going to buy that even comes close to this car for $29,000. I have almost 20,000 miles and I still get the same amount of compliments and attention as I did back in October...
Good Luck

I'm in the same boat....I will be purchasing with in the next month. I was able to find a dealer (Not Nissan), who had a used Z on their lot and they are willing to let me take it for a test drive. I really believe this is a great car...I'll let you know how it goes when I get back......I think they are asking $31k for the Enth Model w\5171 miles on it.

Yeah... it's so bad it's a miracle people still buying them... Don't do the same mistake. I believe, nobody here want you to buy Z. The less Zs on the road the more exclusive they are...

Now, if you'll check forums and read bad comments... you'll never buy any car... because every car will have some complaints posted

Okay I got to drive the car...it had 18in rims and cloth seats so it was at least a Touring Model (31k)?

I am speechless

The car was awesome....the ride, the sound, the power....just awesome. I couldn't stop smiling.....I have definitely made up my mind, maybe you can test drive one also, you won't be sorry!!

Like many have said there is the good and bad with ANY car...my only concerns were early seat wear (only 6k miles) on the drivers side and it is definitely a 2 seater....the smaller quarters are a adjustment.

Overall.....hands down.....it's a great car! If you purchase you won't be sorry

i traded in my gti for this z, and the forums at vwvortex are the same if not more complaint oriented. that car was nice but the issues people were having with it were unreal. fluctuating idle, ignition coil failures, blah blah.
the z's a good ship...of course ive only had it for 1600 miles, but it rocks...past break in period baby!!!!
