Came across this blog....
Nissan Needs A Fun Car
Winding Road reports: Japan Report: Nissan Considering Options for Next Sports-Car. We had high hopes for the 350z when it was announced a few years back. But now those hopes have been dashed by higher-than-we-like prices and sort of a fat body.
We remember the 240 SX fondly and would love to see that beast make another appearance. Nissan, make the 240 SX and make everything the 350z was supposed to be: affordable (<$25k), light (<3,000 pounds) and quick (0-60 in <7 seconds). But before all of that, make it fun.
Thoughts??

lol...
Given the performance levels and that sort of thing, I would call the Z a real bargain...
my pickup would cost me close to 40K to replace, and it isn't really overly fancy, and would be more than a equally appointed Z would cost. I know that is apples to oranges, but the Z too expensive? give me a break...

Jealousy is what I call it. Everyone that has a Z loves them, everyone that "blogs" or just writes or whatever, about the Z talks trash. Their all jealous of our cars! I have very little mods done and I still get a rush getting on the highway!

That's ridiculous... The Z and Silvia have always been Nissan's medium-performance and lower-performance cars. We have the Skyline, then the Z, and then comes the Silvia. There were Zs out with wide bodies during the production time of the 240 - Nissan just hasn't yet created their lower end for the new generation. But, I believe that the Altima coupe fills that role.

i think the blogger thought the 240sx came with a sr20. the ka aint fast (until u turbo it) <- put that in so i dont get hate from the ka lovers.
other than that, ive always had my eye out for a nice 240. a few years back someone was selling a 97 with 18k miles for 22 GRAND! thats probably what they paid for when new!
