Depends who you talk to. I like the idea of taking a fast go-kart to work
I don't think you need a 500hp car to take you to the office

I think you'd find the average Canadian is more intelligent than people like z-u-later.

I have both a FI 350Z roadster and a Lotus Elise. The cars are completely different animals. I have tracked both (at different times and different types of tracks. As most people will agree to, performance at a track is all about the driver. I know when I took the lotus to Summit for my first HPD1 class, I passed every car on the track by the second day except for the STI. But we were all novices, I am sure things would have been different with experienced drivers.
Obviously the Z has obscene power... BUT if you got the Lotus and put the ForceFed turbo on it, OR got the Exige S, the power to weight ratio is the same of a TT Z at I think about 9PSI.. Think about that.... a 1900 lbs car with 250whp.. Crazy fast... The lotus is a point and shoot car, it goes where you point it.. Unbelievable driving experience really.
I love both cars and each serves it's purpose. But I have to say for overall fun drives, the Lotus is my go to car.

EDIT: For those that don't know, I have driven the Lotus & the Z on multiple x-country 'Rallies'. I can say the lotus can be a bit of a pain to get in/out of. BUT spending 10+ hours in the car has not been unduly uncomfortable. and the ability to zip in and out of traffic, or dash around competitors... it is a fun car to drive on long trips if you are feeling frisky..
