Making the 350Z a REAL sports car
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No offense guys, but I always thought 350z guys were a little stupid (mainly because most of you guys don't wrench and ask dumb questions) but THIS post right here... WOW.
This deserves a prize/
I vote to ban OP

Bob (the OP) is 70 years old.
You need to consider that he has lived and experienced what I would presume to be many different perceptions of what a true sports car is.
Define what YOU think makes a car a "sports car".
I can only imagine that in the 1920's that it was a car without fenders.
What makes a car a sports car?

Some of the statements I don't get. No heat/ac? No Power windows? Needs to be a convertible with a leaky top? No...I'm sorry. Fail.
who gives a flying ****...i dont kare if the 350z is a luxury car...its still my 350z and i love it whether its a sports car or not. y bring up stupid assumptions on what it is or wat it isnt.

Let me put it simply.
My post was an attempt to use sarcasm to show that the definition and perception of a sports cars has changed over time and no person or time period has ownership of what makes a true sports car.
I don't mind some of the criticism I got but it scares me that so many of you have no idea of what sarcasm is or how it can be used to make a point.

haha very funny Key of Z. I just meant that this thread topic is an obvious statement and that evolution of technology in today's cars does not make them any less of what they are economic/sports/super/ etc. Which car enthusiast doesn't know that sports cars of today have been an evolution of the previous models? I was looking into buying a 240z at one point for a few months and then a 300zx until I was able to afford a new Z. So don't assume I have no knowledge or respect of my car's history or sports car's in general.
Yipes! Tough crowd here tonight.
Translation - "$hit - you britches be throwin' down."
Then again, all that reading can be tiring and frustrating without the mention of turbos or NO2.
Oh - and Hi! New guy here.

The funny thing is that most people say that the interior on the Z sucks and that it, therefore, is not as good of a sportscar as an Audi TT or whatever... It always cracks me up when people say that because the interior is sharp and the car drives like a dream for the money. What more do you want. If you want luxury, buy a luxury car. The OP talking about taking out AC etc made me think of all those old threads about the interior,
