I know I am in the minority ordering the AT, but if the cars are in a "built" order that is the only thing I can think of that makes my car different. I also noted on scafremans data that my tracking number R1239*** is in a grouping of existing VINs IE 1238, 1240, 1241 etc. Any info from you existing VIN people would be much appreciated before I call the dealer, 1-800 nissan and the regional office tomarrow. Zgirl has a VIN number and she ordered an automatic.

 

My VIN is in and I also have an automatic. I ordered on 1/16/02 with a 9/5/02 delivery date.

 

My order # is R123817, Vin # is JN1AZ34D13T100xxx,
ETA on delivery 9/19/02.
I know that you and I were among the earliest to recieve Order #'s and build dates yet we are 2-3 weeks off those early projections. My dealer had this info on 8/1/02 the day I first requested it. But it took until today for me to get it.

If people are not willing to post thier full VIN number or order numbers then why bother posting anything at all. It's really not helping anyone.

 

You have responded to three different post with the same message. Who are you and why so interested in complete vin#'s?
You make me suspicious, especially listing your address as Afghanistan. You didn't even spell (Afganistan) your supposed home correctly. Also the time of your post puts you, most likely, on the East Coast.

 

I have my VIN number at work, but it was EMAILED to me today from my dealer and I have an AT on order. Estimated date of arrival 9-4. I placed my order 3-8-02.

 

Thank you everyone for your speedy replies, I shall now call the dealership and have a little chat.....no satisfactory response and then 1-800-nissan1 and then regional NW/NNA to have a more serious chat. I just want a ballpark, if they had all the stuff ready to build my car in late may then it is a mystery to me why I don't have a VIN or EST day of arrival yet. I don't want to get financing until I am certain of a date(give or take) The dealership wants my old Z and it seems they will be fair with a trade-in price and it will decrease the sales tax...here in WA it is currently .088% YIKS and going up.

 

Good Luck Marczzz, I know you ordered early in January. It's appalling that you don't have your VIN & delivery date yet. Maybe you'll get #1.

 

Thanks so much , Bill chatted with inventory manager today, he doen't understand why my car has not shown up yet...only car on their production detail list, only 350Z since may, supposed to be built in june..pushed out to july..aug delivery pushed out to sept...he feels my car will arrive in sept and he is hoping it will show up on the updated production/inventory weekly report this friday...at this point I can just wait, but if their is no VIN or delivery date by then..I will be forced to call the regional folks. I have to leave something for my last resort. I am so glad you are getting your beautiful black car, we all need closure and solid information NOW.

You must have been reading my life story ... I have had exactly the same june/july/aug/sept timeline scenerio ... except I WAS THE FIRST "Z" ORDERED FROM MY DEALER ... and now, NO FRIGGING NEWS ABOUT ANYTHING ... no VIN, no dates ... 'nada' !!!

Got an email from dealer today win VIN # xxxxx00410 with 9/5 delivery date. Never could find my order number (its not on the sheet I signed and I did everything from the comfort of my office). Ordered march 25th. It has an AT. This is for the 2nd one I ordered. Still no word on the 1st one.
