To the OP, the HR's are good, but not good enough to gain 15-20 hp with nismo exhaust and fujita intakes. The nismo exhaust, being a cat-back exhaust, does not yeild significant gains for our cars. The intakes on the same note, although "dyno-provened" 10hp, is very hard to believe. The thread they started had too many discrepancies mainly because they ran the baseline dyno while the engine was relatively hot, then ran the car again with the intakes after significant cooling time. My point being, the nismo exhaust plus intakes will maybe give you 10 whp max. Like stated before, the new g37 is a pig. Weighing in nearly 500 pounds heavier than the Z, the 15 extra wheel horsepower won't make that much of a difference. Driver's race in the end

To put it simply:

Assuming equal drivers no G37 is faster than an HR equipped Z

Stillen has never made a twin turbo kit in there history of business. They might come out with a Stillen Supercharger like they have with other cars but that is all.

Guys, the G37 does not dyno any more than the 07 Z HR engine. The G will definitely lose to any race the Z will give it due to its weight.

I just looked at mine. It said on the door it weighs 3919. And somewhere else it says max weight of passengers and cargo should't exceed 450... so if I minus it it's 3469. I need a huge scale to actually find out lol. BUT I DOUBT IT IS 3919!!!!

I beat one at a 50mph roll to around 110. Only mod on my 2007 is nismo 18s. I had about 2 cars on him. And I would say im a mediocre driver.

Same block, different stroke, different heads (mostly due to the valvetrain variance) and similar intake manifolds but with different plenum tuning.

The point was that the engine has the same bottom end design, the same relative power production, and about the same weight. I recognize its not the same, but there are more similarities than differences, and the power outputs are extremely close.

Also, I've creamed a G37 consistently so I'm also not just talking based on paper comparisons.

A few weeks ago I tested the G37. Beautiful car!
Two weeks after that I bought a Z
The G, nice and all, just didn't give me the kick I get when driving the Z...

The weight shown in your door jam should be the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). It is the max allowable weight of a vehicle including the weight of the vehicle itself, fuel, driver and passengers, cargo etc...

Read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gross_v..._weight_rating

Totally different from curb weight which is the weight of a vehicle including all fluids (oil, coolant etc...) plus a full tank but minus driver, passengers and cargo.

Dry weight of course is the weight of the vehicle itself minus all fluids including fuel.

Hope that helps.
