Default 350z Keys?

Just bought mine used and the dealer only gave me one key. How much is it to get a extra key made? Are they the chipped expensive ones?

Quit being a *****. I'd go to the dealer first and see what kind of price they give you. I think i read somewhere that it's in the 100s, but I'm not entirely sure.

This place has them for $55 http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...e=H0564-Z33MST

Good response. You are helpful.

I think it is becoming tiresome when everytime a new member asks a question a "senior" member tells them to search. We are making this Forum unfriendly by doing this. It is also creating a very aggravating circumstance when a new member does do the search, finds an old thread, and then attaches the question to the old thread causing it to come forward looking new. I hate this.

This is a good question that is not answered by a search. In fact I just needed to replace a key and FOB, and the dealer has a much different stance than what you see if you do a search here.

Thanks for taking the time to post a useful reply. I appreciate it and I am glad the OP asked the question.

Honestly, do we not want this forum to grow so we have a bigger community? What's the point of answering someone with just "Search". If you're going to take the 3 seconds it takes you to type it while looking like a jackass, you shouldn't. Beside's there is a topic title, and if you are "tired" of seeing the same threads over and over again then why click on this thread in the first place. No one really forced you.

Just ignore the ones that come up again and again until you feel like you're in a "helpful" mood then start talking.

Anyways...I'm part of another forum and I'm tired of "senior" members just telling newbies to "Search".

Anyways back to the point.

That's very odd for you to get only one key, but meh. The best thing I can probably tell you is to go directly to the dealership. Did you get a key FOB? I think I saw Nissan Key FOBS selling for around $80-$90. But that's just a guess.

Sorry bro o.O

I worked a deal with my selling dealer. At the time I thought I go ripped. But, looking back on it. Extra chipped key $55 then $75 to program with other key.

I still think $130 for a key is crazy. It used to be you would get 2 keys and fobs when you bought your car. At least that was the case when I got my Pathfinder in 2001. Anything to make another buck ..... Thank you Nissan for being so cheap !!! I mean I just bought a $30K car and my wife has to buy a key now. What gives ???

I did, believe me. Even called the GM on it. He said that is all that Nissan delivered with the vehicle. That was the last item and I got everything else for a steal so.... I didn't push it that much after the GM said so '04.5.

It did come with an extra key fob .... but no key. It still sounds fishy to me.

i think it is tiresome when the same questions are asked over and over again without conducting a search, since this same question was asked and the information in the link i posted was the answer. That is why the search function does not work because of the countess threads created askign the same question over and over. BTW, did either of you bother to read the link i posted? it is forma guy that went to the dealer and got quoted a cost for a new key from a dealer.

Why don't you just ignore the thread and not even bother posting in it?

Thanks Spike100. I did do a search but a lot of threads came up. And I went through 5 pages and still nothing about the key price. That's why I posted a thread on it. Also it did make me feel like **** I just joined this place and this is the kinda **** I get for posting?

the dealer is supposed to provid you with 2 key, 2 FOBs, and 1 valet key. i personaly would go back and ask for them to give you the keys that you never recieved.

Is that also required for used car? I know for new cars that's required.
