Default HP #'s

What sort of HP #'s did you all get with your 350Z's with what mods? My car was a 2004 Silverstone m6. I had Injen CAI, Greddy full exhaust, Greddy piggy back with custom tune and headers. My car stock made 255rwhp and 250rwtq. After all mods it only made 285rwhp and 288rwtq. Also Stock my car ran a 14.0 @98mph after all mods I ran a 14.0 @101mph with drag radials. WTH!!

Hey dumbass just answer his question or dont post at all. Grow up!!!!! It probably took you as long to put that link in as it would have to just answer his question. Unless you have no mods.

Man, it's getting rude here. I agree with mcurry5, if you don't want to help the guy, just pass. Search...how original.

It's true Dozzer1b could have been a little nicer about it, but it gets awfully annoying seeing the same question all the time. I , along with most on here, have always resort to the search button before posting a question, especiallly for something as common as op's question.

That's just my $1-.98cents.

Were the DR's installed in place of the front tires?

So little info available in this post to provide a serious answer. I agree that a time slip is minimum info required.

You sure are damn funny!! I couldn't leave any harder than what I did without breaking the tires lose!! I know I was running better than the stock ones because I smoked every damn one I raced. 1/4 time was 14.0 @ 101mph 60ft 2.2, 1/8 mile 9.4 @ 74mph. If you cannot be civil don't post anything. Just skip this forum and go elswhere. I didn't post this thread to be insulted by little kids!! Grow up people!!!

There always have to be jerks on these sites!!
Where do you live in florida.. Please tell me so I can bring my Camaro over there and show you what a real street car should run like!! 2002 Camaro Z28 SLP lid, K&N filter, SLP 85mm MAF, LS6 intake, LS6 block, Hooker 1 3/4 Headers and 3" Y-pipe, 3" Magnaflow exhaust, PTC 3500 stall converter, rebuilt 10 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears, stage 3/ 4L60E A4 transmission, Micky Thompson ET street DR's, and a cutom tune. 425rwhp /411rwtq, 1/4 in 11.1 @ 128mph 1.6 60ft 1/8 mile 7.0 @ 102mph. And if any of you morons want to say you have a faster car. I don't care!! Try to do this on a N/A motor!!

As I always said.. In a straight line My Z28 hands down will knock the socks off my 350Z. On a road course the 350Z hands down will win!!

Now now, calm down. All you did was post a time and wanted people to explain why your time was so slow.

You definitely need practice with your launching. That's what killed your time. A 2.2 with DR's is crappy.

How was the track prep?
What was your DA?
Did you heat up the tires prior to the launch?
What RPM did you launch at?
Did you feather or just dump the clutch?

Without these answers being provided, how could you expect an honest answer to your question?

A decent track at a decent location with a decent driver should be pulling at least a 1.9 or better 60'. You did pick up alot of speed on the last 1/8th though, which is good for your car. Your 1/8th time was low though.

So try going off on me if you wish, but for future reference, provide more info before asking. And I won't go into the search deal... You already know the answer to that one...

I will not go off on you!! It just makes me pissed when people get so rude! Back on topic now. I was launching the car around 3,000rpm. I would leave really hard but spin the **** out of the tires in 2nd and again in 3rd gear shifts. What was your 1/4 mile time?

I was not trying to get people to explain why I was running so slow. I was just wondering if this was about average gains with the mods I have. I only gained 30 rwhp with CAI, headers, exhaust, and a custom tune. BTW my car is a 2004. Also I am running 19" 5Zegian wheels with 245/75/ZR 19s BF goodrich Gforce DR's. They hook pretty good off the line just don't stick good after that. Also still have stock gears in the rear end.

Do you actually want input or just continue back and forth like this?

Did you heat up the tires?
How was the track prep?
What was the approx DA the day you ran?

If you were spinning alot, you either need to feather the clutch a little more or the track prep was crappy. Or the tires were too cold. Not properly heating up DR's will cause them to grab as good as street tires.

As for my 1/4 time... Currently I'm running high 12's, low 13's stock (Vegas has a crappy DA and poor track prep here), with about a 2.0-2.1 on street tires. With my Z, I was getting 14.6-15.1 (SRI & spacer only) depending on conditions.

Ok.

Your numbers are decent and right around where they should be with your mods imo. N/a mods just don't get all that much. Of course all cars are gonna vary even with the same mods. Other than that the answer to your drag racing question would probably be better found in the drag racing forum. If you read around in there Im sure alot of those guys could give you some pointers to better your times.

Forums are a funny thing. You have to be careful what you ask. Some questions do get reduntant and at the tops of these pages are links to help guide people who are more unfamiliar with things around here. They are stickies for a reason.
