+1, I see some good suggestions, but IMO many are just lame excuses to become a smart *** on this forum.

i wouldn't go with a complete JL setup, everything even my wiring minus my head unit is JL there is so many better speakers/amps/subs at the same price as some JL components. My setup is xr650 powered by a 4/300 jl amp the amps i gotta say are top notch but the speakers are just lacking! when i first did my research on an audio setup many members warned me about the JL's lacking bass and there are just better speakers out there for the money please do some reseach ^^ and dont get caught up in the whole brand name thing like i did i really regret it, regarding the sub i cant really complain since i drive a ZR i dont have alot of room so i have to pick smaller subs.

5k into sound system? it isnt going to sound 5k worthy in a Z.
get a weber sports carbon fiber body kit, titanium gram lights, small sound system, LCD screens, twin turbo, and a big carbon fiber wing and you will have a complete 350z for anything that comes your way.

Nice wheels, big brake kit, coilovers + other minor suspension mods, clean body kit, and a little audio. But that's just me.

I can't really see the point of spending all the money on audio and suspension. You want to track the car? Sounds like you wanna drive a big speaker with wheels that handles well on a track. j/k

its been like two months since i started it, and that 11-15k has jumped up tremendously. and all of the money is already gone.

well ill reiterate what has happened.

i have bought EVERYTHING that i need for the FI of my Z which will be complete shortly after zdayz. engine build, turbos, supporting mods, everything. thanks for all the suggestions along the way.

i was noob i wont deny it. but i did my research, i read up. i stopped posting pointless threads. ive talked to people. i got my priorites and finances straight, and now have everything i need to get the job done.

i will be home in april, and i will be taking leave in june. and during that time period the build will begin.

prob an old thread indeed but what gets me is the suspensions the best move anyone can do for handling man. Audio's a big waste unless you want to impress HS kids. . or take the car to audio shows. .engine performance and suspensions the best. .truthfully even big brake kits are pretty much a waste.

 

i havent dropped any amount of money into the stereo system. i was prolly not thinking right when i posted that. all is good now...it all went into suspension and performance.

no looks, no nothing but supporting mods. stock wheels, lowered a little, but thats the only noticeable difference about the car...

just a regular z...until the twin turbos kick in!! =]
