Maybe it's not Magic but just the fact that when your car has that much power, a couple hundred pounds really doesn't make a difference??? But when it's a N/A v6 like in the Z's a couple hundred pounds is significantly more noticeable.

They say it's .3 seconds slower around their track compared to the hard top, that's damn close for a convertible. If you watch the video, the hard top lost the race in trying to shake off the spider. Find another convertible that can do that... nada.. thus = magic

Thats nice, he said close, but not the same. And even "ferrari" admitted that.. it weighs more, runs SIMILAR times, not THE SAME... I don't know what you keep argueing about.. he already said they are similar.. not the same, advantage who? COUPE.. not VERT, and btw they had two different drivers.. im sure if you put the two drivers and tested it over and over, the coupe would win.

no need to attack me little one, I'm not arguing over anything. You don't understand the point I'm trying to make huh? something called good engineering. f430 and spider is drivers race, that's why they're practically the same. Try to find another convertible that can match up to their coupe version.... yeaahhh.

They claimed the BMW "felt more composed, and calm" at the limit. I've never driven a BMW, but I've rode in a few, and I'm not impressed.
Like the forums, opinions and reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. In that article, they felt the e90 had better driving dynamics, so it was the preferred car. I don't think the article was biased.

I believe in that same mag, a few months later, a faster 335i lost out to a G37. This time around, they focused more on price and value per dollar.
