Default First Drive around town!

I have been obsessed with the z33 since it came out. After graduating college I'm finally been able to afford it. Mid sept., i bought 6sp 06 in ss with 10k miles. Since then, it's taken a while to get the title. Today, after waiting two weeks with the car sitting in my driveway, I just got in from the first ride. I was nervous because I hadn't consistently driven stick, but I'm a fast learner and I didn't even stall, just a couple jerks in 2nd revving too high before completely letting off the clutch. I just had to share my excitement with you guys. I can't wait to save up and do some performance mods!YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

haha congratulations. i know that feeling. The best part about the z33 for me is the fact that every day i get into it, i am more and more obsessed with the car.

I'm coming up on one year of ownership on November 24. The Z has been VERY good to me. If I had known how much i would fall in love with my car, I would have bought one a lot sooner. It wasn't even on my radar until i got to test drive one.

don't rush into mods just yet. Enjoy the car for what it is right now, it will make your mods that much sweeter when u finally do them. Once you get everything set the way you want it, you can go back and test drive a stock Z and laugh at how much different yours is then stock (i do that every once in a while)

Yea...I could have had one in 04 but i decided to go with my dad on some real estate...I actually owned the car three days before deciding to take the family Explorer to beat up...180k miles later it's still going so I've got a Z for weekend driving and beater with AWD for the winter...anyways, when i test drove the automatic and felt the torque I almost lost it right there...I've yet to push my 06 but I will soon enough...it's barely broken in

As for the mods...I'm waiting for that Cosworth manifold and then I'm gonna build around that...I've got enough for it now so I may just purchase it and have it installed in a few months...Looking at headers but have heard conflicting info about whether they produce gains...been listening to exhaust notes too...I like the Borla TD...deep and gains seem solid...we'll see what happens...

i need sleep
