Default Does your Z flame from the exhaust?

Sunday night coming back from Formula D, I saw my friends Evo shoot a huge flame. He's got a turbo back exhaust and BOV. At the top of his 5th gear he let off and shot the biggest flame Ive ever seen. Not those tiny pop flames, this was a huge flame thrower type thing. It was nuts. I'll post a video this weekend.

ANyways, yes I know he's turbo'd so thats why, just wondering if anyone here N/A has their Z do something similar. My Z should do the same since I have non resonated tp's and an exhaust but it doesnt
I was just curious because I searched on here and didnt find anything, I also looked on youtube and only found 1 or 2 videos of N/A Z's doing the same. Anyone? You think maybe since its a dual exhaust thats why it doesnt ignite the unburnt fuel left over?

Get test pipe and put spark plugs on your muffler and you will be driving with a flame thrower. There's more to the install. Also, don't want to hear about "how I crash my Z with a flame thrower" thread like the million "how I crash my Z driving without TCS" threads.

No I dont want to do anything like that. Thats crazy. Doesnt really matter too much. I jsut think its kinda cool to see some flames out the exhaust. Ive seen a few n/a cars shoot them out when revving up high and I just wondered why mine doesnt do that same. No big deal though.

its called his BOV is probably set to fully autmospherical and when the car thinks it has all this air and then is blown off it dumps gas in to the motor which is not burned and settles in the down pipe.. then when the car is wot the gas burns shooting flames

All these examples must not be a good situation for the streets or the engine.

I'm still paying off the loan I got for the machine guns under the front quarter panels. When I finally pay that off, maybe I can get the rear flame thrower armed with a road greaser.

Mine does sometimes. Djnaz was on track with his explanation. Of course, I'm running a large single turbo and it was quite rich at redline. The average NA Z will NOT do this.

It was pretty fun actually, we were running an open downpipe and it was shooting out 3 ft fireballs on the dyno.

You can also tune for the system to dump fuel like this with the HKS FCON VPRO (but only if you don't care about gas and like to show off).

I see, that pretty much answers my question. No flames for my Z
