Talking WOOHOO, Dealer called today 8/5. said 5-7 days!

I was like "can you please get me the f'ing VIN so i can get my insurance" he was like no VIN yet. but Nissan called him and said your customer's Daytona Blue track edition should be arriving in 5-7 days from today.

Can't wait! I'll keep you guys posted.

FYI - i didn't even participate in the pre order. my saleman ordered 3 pre orders himself in configurations he thought would sell. And i came in like 1 month ago and he had one of the track editions left. I kinda feel like i missed out on all the special mailing they sent to pre order customers.

You will be getting the exact same car as me yet I have waited for what seems like forever and you just got your 'preorder' last month?

Yeah, you also missed out on the last 7 months of agonizing, clueless dealers, frustration, excitement and anticipation. Oh well, I'll be a good sport and say congrats.

Oh no not again. Someone thinking they'll get their Z before it even arrives. Only kidding, but, let's see pics. I was under the impression that dealers could not buy these cars for sale, only pre-order consumers. Are you sure your name isn't "Bronxwarrior"?

Matt, all jokes aside, I hope your dealer isn't BS'n you. Hope your story is true.

I posed that question to Zisme and he stated that it was the exception and that Nissan would not bother with policing the dealers, but my dealer did the same thing, they ordered the last 3 slots they had before the 6/17 deadline so they would not lose them and used 3 salesmen's names, so I have a feeling that it is more common than Nissan thinks.

Default sheesh. i dont know hwy you guys are so skeptical of people who post. i am new here..

...and i am not disgusing myself as some one else. My company is ImportLife.tv and I bought the Z from ---------. (As i was previewing my post i just thought to myself, what if some buster here calls Nissan NA to try to ruin my delivery.) But you know what who cares. I bought it from Star Nissan, Call them yourself. Their link is on my website. They are about ti sponsor the car i just bought so ask for Doug.

I needed a new car to make into our marketing vehicle for the car show circuit. and why would i lie about a car? please...i am literally downgrading in price point, not performance. I currently own, for another 4 days, the 2000 slk 230 Kompressor with AMG package. You can see the pics of the slk at importlife.tv

And as for the dealer lying to me, then i will just simply get my deposit refunded. no big deal. I'll just go out and get the Mustang SVT or something else i can market at the shows.

Don't get me wrong, i am very excited to be owning this car, esp the track edition. but c'mon, its only a car, why would i lie about it here. jeez. i was hopin people would share my excitement. i guess from now on i will have to ship my car to everyone's house when i get aftermarkert parts for anyone to believe me.

Hopefully i will be welcomed here in the future, but for my 3rd post ever i didnt expect this.

Hope everyone gets their Z's soon.

I don't think anyone is saying you are lying or is upset that you are getting the car, just a little frustrated, as most have been waiting a long time. Nissan dealers weren't supposed to sell the cars this way, but good for you anyway

Default Okay, i am officially done posting on this site...

...until i have pictures of me next to my car. and as for the VIN, I rather not post that online anyways after I get it. In fact Slexis200 can watch video footage of me driving my car before him. :P

To all those who are genuinely welcoming me, thanks. But i will lay low until i have the car in hand. Seems this crowd is hard to convince. But seriously Slexis200, i have no ill-will to you. I sincerely hope you get your car soon. Let not be petty, myself included.

Laters guys.

I honestly hope you get your car in the next 5-7 days...... it would mean that the cars are finally being delivered and we'll all be getting ours soon. The later the first cars come, the later it'll be for everyone, right?? So congrats! I think all the people trying to shoot you down are just venting frustration about their own situation because we've in general been waiting for a long long time. It's like when you're tired, you get cranky,... we'll we're tired of waiting. I for one am anxiously waiting for someone on this forum to get the first Z. And about the salespeople filling out orders themselves, it's highly likely one thing about big companies, no one knows what anyone else is doing. Again, congrats and please keep us updated.

PS if this is a hoax I'm suing your company for distributing false info, and causing me to sell my car prematurely, losing me money since I couldnt get to work. j/k

Matt,

Please understand that we've been BS'd so much by "I'm getting mine on Aug 3rd" and "My car will be here on Mon", you have to understand why we might be a little apprehensive about believing your getting your car in 5-7 days. If you get it that's fantastic, hope it's true. BTW, I'm a former New Yorker, Long Island. Oh, your website, specifically that beauty in the bathing suit, is fantastic. I can't get the video of her to work on my computer, but maybe it's cause she's so hot.

I have to say, I think I'd be a little mad that a dealer only gave me 5 to 7 days to get ready for the cars arrival. It takes a while to sell your current car, arrange financing, etc.
Granted, it be nice to get it that early, but it seems like someone could have told you a few weeks ago.

Of course, it could all just be another dealer blowing some serious smoke.
I wonder, if we all compared what dealerships we bought from, how many people from the same dealer were told "your car is coming first!"

If your dealer told you anything that is accurate, you will be one of the very few. That is why there is so much skepticism. Most of the dealers have useless info as far as the pre order crew is concerned.

OMG, someone out there knows about On2!!

mochase, you don't work for them do you? I've been holding On2 stock for a couple of years now, rode it down from the glory days of the dot-com craze. I buy occassionally, have reduced by average cost to around 75cents a share. Price is so low now, there's no point in getting out, might as well wait and see where it goes.

Off topic, I know, but just so damned excited to see On2 mentioned, even in a 350Z forum!
