Do you know how Nissan calculates the VPP. My dealer said I was eligable for the VPP plan and am going to get me a firm price sometime this week on a Redline Z. I used the VPP plan before on the purchase of my Maxima and cant remember the offer they give you. IIRC its invoice minus like 2-3%, but its been a while.

See the 350Z Pre-Order Survey for some averages. Enter your info if you haven't already -- although pre-order period is over, it's still good to get more data.

Mmm... This got me thinking, Can anybody tell me what kind of taxes do you pay for a vehicle in the US?? and How much are this taxes??

Here in Mexico, as I posted before, My car went for US$43,700, (touring 6MT side and courtain airbags no NAV) This price includes 15% sales tax and about 2.5%new car tax, it excludes 2.6%tenance tax out of the above mentioned total (about US$1,100 per year, yes every year you own the car you pay the tax).

Thanks
Ricardo

That sounds right. Base price(minus 2-3%) + options(minus 2-3%) + destination/handling(~540) + dealer fee(~800, ~2.5% of purchase price)

I live in TN and the f'ing tax here is 9.75% since we have no state income tax. Stupid people, but I still got my enthusiast for a little over 29 grand with tax.

Default Daytona Blue Touring So Cal

Daytona Blue Touring Manual. All options including aero kit, no side curtain air or navi. So Cali

$32,096
$ 3,000 (Cali Tax 8.25%+DMV 2% roughly+dealer destination)

$36,000 out the door

I believe MSRP for all my options should have been $34,683.00, closer to $38,000 out the door.

Dealer flew me from LAX to Vegas to pick up my car. Huntington Beach Nissan in Orange County (pretty decent guys there, ask for Chris Cupps). THey do the good cop bad cop thing there. One of their sales associates talks SUPER fast and numbers fly like crazy. Dont give in.

Has anyone else noticed that the base MSRP for Touring Automatic is CHEAPER than Touring Manual by about $2000?

Good luck.
