Wow, sorry to see it. Hope they do a good job fixing it.
Seems to be something going around involving silver-ish cars.
This is a tough way to welcome you to the forum, but ... welcome.

It should cost the insurance of the person who hit you money, not you. Even if they didn't have insurance, you most likely have un-insured motorist coverage. Most you should have to pay is your deductible in a worst case situation!
Sucks though, hope it gets back to you in the condition it was in prior!

when u pick up the car make sure u check the panel gap inside the dash where the door panel meets the dash. I have a friend who replaced those parts too and that was the only thing we missed when we picked up the car
And don't listen to everyone here pissin' and moaning about how it will never be the same. It will be fine, that damage is easily repairable. How bout some interior door shots?
i would ask the insurance to get a brand new Z, i wouldnt want it back after that kinda wreck. it wont be the same i dont care what other people say. isnt there something like new car replacement. i know Allstate has it.

A crash is a crash, specially that big. The car wont ever be the same.
I know it by experience with my old celica...
In accidents with frame or suspension damage, the car never truly returns to original condition. Looking at these pics, it doesn't look like this car suffered either, so as long as it was taken to a top notch shop it will be fine. It takes a damn good painter to get that finicky SS paint to match right, so for your sake OP, I hope you took it to the best shop insurance money can buy, rather than to one "recommended" by them.

Just got my car back from the shop and the paint does not match. I had to b!tch at them a whole lot for them to fix it. They're now repainting my entire front end rather than the fender and bumper they could not match.
