Q: MT VS AT?

A: It all depends on your personal preffrences! Some like to not worry about shifting in city traffic, and others dont mind. The fact of the matter is that the difference between AT/MT ''speed wise'' is negligable.
The old argument of being able to better control a MT over an AT on the street/track etc... is well wrong. Once a driver understands basic concepts such as throttle control, anything that one does in a MT can be done in an AT.
Long story short, dont let anyone tell you what is best, instead go out there try both, and THEN make your OWN decision.

wait a minute. this is your first big purchase or your parents first big purchase for you?

jw.

secondly. comparing an m6 which i believe has SMG (correct me if im wrong) to a true manual is like comparing FWD to RWD. big difference. its not a question of whether or not you can learn how to drive stick. its really not that difficult for those of us with more than single digit chromosomes. but thats neither here nor there, it comes down to what you wanna do. if you are asking for opinions you will get 5 million different opinions (everyone is entitled to their own) my best advice to you is to make your own opinion. go back and drive a stick at the dealer. tell them your situation and they will understand, everyone learns stick at some point unless of course you are so bad at it that you cant drive the car then practice is your rich brothers m6 that he is so willing to lend you.

maybe you should stick to bmw.

third. CO2 systems? maybe i havent done enough research, but last i checked the purpose of nitrous oxide was to boost combustion. Nitrous Oxide is extremely flammable. C02 is what they make fire extinguishers out of. tell me why i would want to put this in my engine again?

fourth. if you are asking what a oil cooler versus a transmission cooler is, you might want to reconsider modding your car. stick to stickers until you figure out the difference.

fifth. You will only be needing an intercooler if you go forced induction. as far as i have heard, there is no turbo kit as of yet made for 07 Z's. maybe you will be the first, but from someone who cant tell the difference between an oil/trans cooler? i doubt it.

sixth. dont waste your time with a 350z. you need something faster. like an acura RSX.

Thanks Willie.

I'm trying to turn it into a full on show car with bells and whistles.

I think hes refering to that system on the market that remotely shots C02 into the intake to make the air "cooler," and therefore add power. I haven't done the research but got a buddy at work that wants to spend his next paycheck on a system like this,...... i cant see this being good for your engine
