Ok a buddy of mine is looking to buy this 03 Fairlady Z, and I was just wondering what the difference is between the Fairlady and the regular touring edition. Fairlady is the JDM (Japanese) Name of the car. No 350z in japan just fairlady

Its just like the Honda Integra in america it is called the RSX now but in Japan it is still the Integra

That Z just has a Fairlady badge on it check out some other Z's on this site they have the same badge. It means nothing different than a 350z

 

you can get the fairlady emblem for $30 or so. I have a couple of them myself. From the looks of it, it is a touring manual with a beat up pop charger and a lightly painted engine compartment. As mentioned above, just an emblem nothing more.

 

looks to be in good shape, but I wouldn't pay that much for it, you can get one cheaper than that, and yeah someone just slapped a fairlady badge on the hatch, there is no such thing as a "fairlady" package.

 

That JDM badge adds an easy 200whp over anything that says 350Z. Tell him that

Tell him to keep looking. Dealership near me had a 03 Touring with 15K on it for same price ($17,988). Better deals are out there.

 

I had a Fairlady emblem on my last Z. It was cool at the time, but its meaning was lost on anyone besides car enthusiasts.

 

I was wondering about that. My 03 touring has just the Z on the front and back. Is it factory or not? I know my car had an older man owner before me and nothing was done to the car at all. I couldn't see him changing them out.

 

You saying the former owner took the "350" off and left the "Z"? Its facotry, but only partial. Or are you talking about where the Nissan burger is supposed to be, he put big Z emblems?

 

Either way, that grill looks disgusting.
