Default Geico: Amazing Company!

I bought my new 07 "Touring" on 10/24/07
6 days later some low-life SOB threw a egg @ it.
Damaged my hood to tune of $578 + $300 for clear bra.
I was out of state @ the time & Geico set me up on 11/15.

I of course got 3 more estimates from other auto bodys.
Geico was the lowest by $100 & their auto body best in the area!
I dropped my car off on 11/15 where they had a rental waiting for me.
2 days later my car was ready & it looks like it was never damaged.
3 days later I received a $300 check in the mail to have my clear bra installed.
Talk about service I received I could not be more pleased & thrilled my insur. is Geico!

When I changed my insurance apprx. 6 years ago Geico was $400 per year cheaper...
Than "Travelers" I had @ the time. Still are the cheapest by far!
Surely for others it totally depends on age, record, car, & mostly area u live in.

Just thought I would post some positive news for a change about a really good Co.

P.S. Damn egg missed the clear bra by only 2 inches

Thumbs up GEiCO is Okay

Some whinner took a knife and gouged the entire rt side. Cqlled GEICO and they referred me to a body shop who in turn mis-matched the paint color by a few shades. GEICO Rep was on the spot in a mini-second, making sure I was happy . Nissan's 4 stage pearl base colors are not easy to blend. Dealer took another electroanalysis sample and matched perfectly the color! Even got another free 07 Mustang to drive as the loaner(too slow)

Geico to the rescue.

Weapon-R Dragon, Cosworth, lowered suspension stock touring 06"Z"

Just remember... Geico is a lobbying firm that also sells insurance. This mean that alot of the money you give them is used to lobby congress for laws that make their lives easier and yours harder. Things like having extra (expensive) safety items made mandatory on new cars, lower speed limits, limits on what insurance has to pay for, etc...

I'd argue that some of those things might actually be good. I'd say it's good for side airbags and ABS to be standard on new cars. Anyways, I get where you are coming from and I didn't know that they were the only lobbying firm that also sells insurance. I assume you mean that they ARE a lobbying firm (not just an insurance company) because basically every company does lobbying to get laws that favor the company passed.

I really hate Geico. Having many issues with them at the moment.

And I also don't know what was so great about what they did for you. You pay them to insure your car and they repaired it. And gave you a rental like they are supposed to. Didn't get what was so great about them? Anyways, glad your happy atleast.

Because they went about their service with me with real Class!
I've had other insurance companies & had issues & was like pulling teeth.
Geico ended my claim with a check in the hand in 3 days. Others take months!
I have enough stress in my life I don't need extra with insurance Co. etc.
Again I could not be more pleased to know my $ is being well spent, for sure!

I'm glad your having a good experience with geico, I on the other hand hate them, When I had my eclipse it was lowered on goldline springs, they threatened to cancel my coverage if i didn't go back to factory specs. This all stemmed from me refusing to have my car towed on a non flatbed truck.

Oh I forgot one more thing, if you have geico and plan on modifying your car. Do yourself a favor and don't tell them
