Sorry about your loss. Glad to hear you are ok. I think only a brand new Z will heal your pain.

Sniff. I didn't know her, but I know she had a great spirit. She'll be missed. Glad you're OK.

Sorry about your car but glad you're ok. I personally, don't think 16 year olds need to be driving either. I definitely think they should raise the legal driving age. RIP Z

Sorry to hear about the Z
She was only 4 years old.

I agree with the driving age to be raised to 18.

Thank you guys very much for the condolences. I am very glad to be safe and posting on the boards today. My ribs are a little tender from the seatbelt, but other than that no ill effects.

I'm not sure how I feel about 16 year olds driving either. I'm sure some can handle it safely. Certainly, this girl needed more instruction. I gave her every opportunity to avoid the accident. She literally floored it and rammed my car as if she were aiming at it.

I forgot to add a few things about my baby. She was the first 3.9 final drive install and review, the first Fidanza shifter install and review and one of the first to have the Top Secret rear skirts.

Not sure what's next in the way of cars. The GTR is really growing on me though.

Better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all.

that sucks man, glad you're okay.

i can't even imagine what i would do in the same situation, kudos for not ripping the chicks head off. i would have.........or crumpled on the ground and cried for a while, one of the two.

look on the bright side, with the 08s out now, dealers should be lowering the prices on the 07s. HR FTW!

She said that her dad was yelling at her to go, go go. So she was actually accelerating into the crash. I think she just froze up and visually locked onto my car and steered right into it. Classic error. Don't look at the thing want to avoid. Look where you want to drive. I contacted insurance tonight and got everything setup if they flake. I just have to wait for a call from their insurance co.

I've been doing a little shopping for cars tonight and its really tough to find a better car than the Z right now. Although, I have been checking out 911's a little bit. ;-) I think the problem with the GTR is that it WOULDN'T be track ready and I would probably have to dump a ton of money into suspension, brakes, rims and tires to get it really track ready. Not sure if I can justify that unless I sold my racecar.

I'm really saddened to read this. I just purchased a used Track model with very low miles and as the new owner, I'd like to think this would never happen to me. But I know it could. I'm glad you, and the youthful driver, were not seriously hurt. About her dad...maybe he should just shut up when riding shotgun.

Good luck with your next vehicle choice and I hope the insurance company comes through.

Sorry to see that happen to your baby, I feel your pain :-(. I probably would have taken that little girls head off. I didn't believe the driving age should be raised before, I started driving at 15 on my own and had a clean record, until my younger sister started driving when she made 18.

She never drover on her permit, just got it, waited, and got a license and then started driving. She's ruined my old 90 Celica (my first car) by running into chit and letting people sit on it, and most recently got a couple speeding tickets. After seeing this it makes me wish they would do a 2 year driving school and raise the limit to 18.

Like I said, sorry for you loss and glad everyone was ok. Hope you stay in the Z community.

How could the GT-R not be a track ready car? Have you seen the numbers? The car is faster around a track than a sh*tload of exotics....
