Hey guys thanks for the kind words. I got a call from the insurance company and they totalled the car out for 18,800. My insurance company is taking care of it because the girl and her dad are fighting the ticket and the claim. They said their light was yellow. So I did some research last night and found something called the "Lag Trap". Basically, there is a situation that can occur where a driver turning left on green arrow can get a yellow while they are turning and oncoming traffic still has a green. I never really thought about it before, but the guy in the link below described exactly what happened. Should be mandatory reading for drivers' ed.

Last time i checked, a yellow light does not mean to punch the gas and hope you make the turn. She is still at fault. At the VERY least, yellow means to procede with caution, which she obviously did not do...thus her still being at fault. Sorry for your loss, i know exactly where you are coming from, my trans am was just stolen last week.
