possible scam?
Whatever you do, don't do it. My friend got sucked into one of these scams. He thought he was going to get a 98 supra tt for 4 g's . But yea anything to do with sending money overseas, don't do it.
Lol... why even bother dealing with this, take the safe road and buy something you can test drive, put hands on before you buy... saves you money no matter what u decide to do..
My co-worker and his brother are still paying on the one they got roped into sending money too. $5000 more on payments to go and their _______ will be all their's lock stock and..._______????
I saw a 2006 Z on Craigslist months ago w/ low miles, usual Z mods all for $16K!
I emailed and 'she' said she has to car in storage because she's in the Air Force stationed in Germany and if I wanted the car, wire the money to Ohio where her brother is at. Then the title would be mailed to me and the key for the storage unit.

Ha, I ran into this kinda thing when I was shopping for my Z, the guy said he was in Manhatten, so I offered to meet him since I was traveling for work in NJ, didnt hear from him after that for some reason.
but yeah, never buy it before you see it.

I see these all the time. I like to look at the ads for car online. I will play with them. I tell them that I am interested. They send and e-mail giving some lame excuse on who they need the money asap and how the transaction will work and that the car is in a different location. So I do one of two things.
1-I say, "hey, I have family in that city. What is the address so I can have one of them go look at the car for me."
2-"The bank needs to see the title to the car front and back so they can go ahead with the loan. Can you please fax a copy to me?"
I never get a response back from them.

Yea, sounds like escrow fraud to me. A friend of mine got burned trying to buy a motorcycle this way a few years back. He ended up loosing about $3k. As soon as the guy got the money from him he suddenly disappeared from existence.
