is this 2003 fixed ?
2003 is not by first choice of a year model to buy my first 350z. i have found something tempting that i wanted to run by you guys.
2003 track model, 20,000 miles, very clean car.
Recent m6 transmission replacement by Nissan dealership as well as "alignment" work done by Nissan as well.
Would you guys consider this to be a good alternative to finding a 2004.5 or 2005 model.
Thanks for your opinions.

believe me, im no idiot. he says he has receipts. there will be a trip to the nissan dealership to talk to them to confirm everything. the car is clean and even has the 06-07 Rays 19" rims which look soo much better.
its a dope car. i like it. not excited about it being an 03. im just asking the vets if they think this car has had the 2003 downfalls fixed? assuming everything is true. that's really all im interested in learning.

If the transmission was replaced with the newer "009" model..then that issue is fixed(hopefully). As far as alignment, take it to a good shop to check it..
I've seen that car for sale, gorgeous car. Make sure you have it checked out all around, including diagnostics.

There have probably been just as many problems with 04s and 05s as 03s. (Oil consumption, transmission, etc). They are all good cars for the most part with few exceptions. Like was mentioned above, it's more a matter of getting it checked out thoroughly to make sure it's a good car than it is the year.

only thing to ever go wrong with my '03 is a window motor. Other than that just maintaining it. The transmission bugs are out of the way for the most part, unless people are beating on their cars. If the price is right i would grab it with those low miles. The car is worth a lot more since it is unique with only 20k miles.
I'm coming up on 60k on my '03 and have had the window motor problem and a relay to the gas hatch opener, and that has been it. Just ordered my 4th set of tires but that is more a testament to the way I drive. If that car is going for 17k go for it. But have it inspected stem to stern and get the dealer maintenance history first.

A little too pricey in my sole opinion, but will sell since low mileage.
$20k sounds about average - pretty low miles so doesn't sound too bad. Buddy of mine paid $23 a year ago and it had higher mileage but did come with factory nav and new rubber.
I really think that sounds like a great deal. The Track model was the best 2003 version, and at 20k miles, it’s almost new. In fact having the transmission replaced and the alignment fixed makes it better than new. You won’t have to deal with the problems new 2003 buyers faced. $20k is a decent price considering the very low mileage.
To test the transmission, take it for a test drive. On the test drive, shift hard and quickly from 6th to 5th, and then do the same from 4th to 3rd. If there is no grinding, you’re good.

^^ Just put him on your ignore list. That way you won’t see any of his messages (unless someone quotes him inside another message).
I doubt he’ll be banned since he is mostly harmless. Although he doesn’t contribute, he isn’t offensive.
