My Z does the same thing, if its cold out the CD player skips like a 6 year old on a candy rush. What causes that BS?

Mine plays MP3 CD's fine. Maybe its just a Bose thing?
I agree the aux jacks thing kinda sucks. But whatever. Life goes on.

You do mean the CD's that play 100+ songs right? Not just a CD-R? My CD-Rs play fine, its when I make a Nero MP3 CD that I have problems.

Let me know, if your car really does play them let me know what software you use to make them!! Maybe I can use that to make it work.

 

Well I'm a bit older than alot here but here is my take...I have a 07 (also had a 04) Roadster. The Bose sounds pretty good to me. I'm not one that has to have a stereo that you can hear 4 blocks away and for the most part hate people who do (but I do play mine pretty loud). Yes, mine plays MP3 discs fine (can put about a 100 songs on a dics so around 500-600 loaded in the 6 dics changer. The Z is a great car..it runs faster than I need to go, handles better than I can drive and I think it looks great. I've owned about 40 cars over the years (everything from Preludes to Vetts...with about 4 GT Mustangs in the mix) and the Z is as good if not better than anythng I've ever owned. If you want pure power go for a Vette or Mustang...I'd love a Saleene but over all the Z is a very good car.

 

You need the bose system which comes with the track and grand touring editions of our Zs. The bose system plays mp3 CDs and is a 6 CD changer. You have the basic stereo like most of us here.

Best way for you to go is going aftermarket. I don't know what year your Z is, but if you got radio controls on your steering wheel, get you will probably loose functionality on those if you go aftermarket.

 

Guess you'd better try to get another Neon then. Let me know, I'll give you a good offer on your Z.

 

Yes, as mentioned, Its a BOSE function in the higher models. My Bose in my Pathfinder does has this function too

But your neon also had manual windows in the back and pwr up front.....I had one too...that's way worse than a non mp3 stereo.

 

Ahh, I thought he meant that "its a bose thing" where they DONT play the CD's...

I'm glad I didnt go with the Bose because I probably would have ripped that out for aftermarket anyway...

Poor kid got destroyed. It's okay, everyone else is quite right and he deserved it. Oh well, maybe your next post will be a little better planned Nice job on trying to make the Z look bad compared to the Neon. Maybe next time..

Anyway I bought a Z and I am trying to make it look bad?? That doesnt make sense to me.

I was just dissapointed at first because I wasnt sure if "I" had a bad head unit or if it in fact DIDNT play MP3's...so I asked.

I had no intention of making it look bad, I was just stating after dissapointment that my POS neon had it! Which was a cut corner vehicle (roll up windows in the back anyone?!?!)...

Anyway im lockin this because people are overreacting...

 

I can't believe this subject could drag on for 5 pages worth but it has. The insults and BS are getting worse so it's time to close this one down.
