Have you ever had your 350Z on a track?

I drove on a open road course in the rain with the windows down for fun.

And ran over some orange cones in a parking lot.

But nothing beats drag racing. For those brief 14.77 seconds I am free.

I've hit these only once:
Streets of Willow (completely stock vehicle... maybe I had the Nismo LSD already... I forgot)
Buttonwillow (New front brake pads, Nismo LSD, GY F1 GS-D3)
And done multiple Auto-X's in Atwater with Fresno SCCA.
My plan for 2008 is to get a set of brake pads and rotors to use exclusively for the track so I don't eat through my daily driver pads (and to make sure I get home after the track). After Buttonwillow, I had no rear brakes left because they were still the original pads.

Had it out one weekend over the summer.. open diff though. Sucked so bad I bought the Nismo when I got back. I had the EBC yellow pads which worked out pretty good for non Brembos.. Did the grand slam weekend at Pocono; 5 tracks, one driver, priceless. lol
The Z is a fun car at the track, but I made the mistake of running Pocono's long course. I was going about 145 and still getting passed like woah! Dam new Z06's
I used to have an integra type R, that was my track *****...

If you can shift a car, then there's no more wear on the clutch in an autox or track day than driving in city traffic.
There's no way on earth that you can claim that the ¼mile puts less stress on your clutch and drivetrain than any other form of motorsports. The launch alone claims more clutches, transmissions and rear axles than you're willing to admit.
