A guy I work with told me this morning about a guy he knows that is supposedly going to be taking delivery of a Daytona Track, next Thursday (August 15th) from Star Nissan in Bayside (Queens), NY.

I'm doing some homework to find out if this is legit...

I believe it. I always thought deliveries would start next week. I'm thinking a week Sunday, we will have lots of posts about wonderful Sunday drives.

 

aren't dealers closed on sunday? or is it a state by state thing?

 

I believe a day or two before the first deliveries we'll see a "I saw
a truck loaded with Z's sighting" which hasn't come to pass yet but who knows, maybe next week?

 

Yah, dealers are closed Sunday. I meant some people will have their cars by next Saturday.

 

I'm waiting, I'll even provide my dealer with $34,202 in $1.00 bills to deliver mine early. Actually, I'll give him an extra $100.oo to do it. Yea, sure!!

 

I remember reading somewhere that the Z's were to be shipped "museum delivery". I could swear I read that somewhere though I dont remember where. All of us should be on the lookout for covered trucks ala BMW. I am thinking the same style canvas covered truck with the Z profile logo on the side or something.

 

WELL Mid august.......that sounds like a strong possiblity.

I think the weekend dealer thing is state by state. Here in TX, a dealership can be open 1 day over the weekend, but not both. It can be either Sat or Sun. Just FYI.

 

There is actually a law sayin that they con't be open both days? That is crazy! What could possibly be the problem with them being open both days? Most of the dealers our here seem to be open every day of the week.

 

i think this is true, i also ordered from star nissan, but in late apirl. i called my dealer (family friend) from star nissan, hes not 100% sure, but he said its very likely, and he 'll look into asap. if that is the case, i'm running over there this weekend to check it out. i'll keep you all updated as soon as i get a call from my dealer.

I don't know what you guys are talking about but here in LA the dealers are open Saturdays and Sundays, hek we have even bought a car on a Sunday, I guess it's different in other parts of the country.

I have a daytona blue track edition and my sales rep Doug called last monday and said my car was 5-7 days away. then people went to bash me and accuse i was either lying or posing as someone else.

I guess I have the last laugh. LOLOLOL

But i hope all you guys get your cars soon. especially in the tristate area.
