3100 lbs give or take

I don't think a TT would be baseline but a TT model of course should be available if they wanna keep up with other manufactures. Not much you can do any about the car dimensions but who would want a shorter "Z"...not me.
So F#$% the wait...I'm making mines

That would be stupid, competing with their own GTR makes no sence to me atleast.

Well, back to the OP. I see no issue, money permitting, if you buy a Z now, double up on your payments( this is the money permitting part) as much as you can, by the time a new model be it 2009 or 2010 you will have enough paid down your current one where you should get a pretty sweet trade in value. Z's seem to hold resale value pretty good.

If you're drawn in by the 350z, why wait until the 370z or what ever next design comes out. You may hate it and then you are right back to square one and you could have been driving one the entire time.
Get one now and enjoy it!

I drive a 05 350Z but after reading about the 370Z lighter with more hp and overall a better vehicle I'm looking seriously at the next generation. I'm not sure I want to trade my 05 in or not. I might try to trade it in on the GTR but being real the 370Z-car is more attainable and will probably be what I trade for.
My dd getting pretty old I might buy another used Infiniti and then trade the 05 in for a 09/10 370Z. If its all that its suppose to be it will be a hell of a Sports car.
I'd wait.

I been dealing with the same issue. Don't know whether to wait for the 09(if it even comes in 09) or just get the 08. But if you think about it, if you wait around say... 8 months. Ok, it wont hurt you at all due to the fact if the 09 does tend to come out we should see more info about it and if it DOES come out... You have a choice and will be informed of the following:
1. The PRICE of the new z because if they are going to make it faster, change its style, ect ect.. You probably will see the price tag 30k+ atleast for just base alone. And for those saying or hoping tt will be on the new z... lol.. think about the price and MPG...
2. You will be informed of what was changed and see if you even like the change in body style if they do decide to do so. Also hints lead toward it being "lighter" "smaller". For a daily driver... smaller isnt always a positive nor is a tt. Gas prices plan to go up not down in the next few years.
3. If you dislike the new z. You get a kick *** cheap price on a 08. Big time, because dealers will try to get rid of the last production models for the new model comming in.
I am going to wait, and if the 09 does come out... 80 percent chance im going to still get the 08z for a nice price because if you get the new 09 there is a good chance you will be dealing with all the bugs the 1st and 2nd production years. So really its... Wait 2 years atleast for the next generation, or wait a bit and get to enjoy a z that you got at a nice price and the actual car you liked in the first place. Cars will upgrade/change.. You can just think of a reasonable time to wait and go for it. Either way if you wait and wait and wait you will be stuck with no car and just go crazY cause car changes will never stop.
