Any updates on NISMO June release date?
Has anyone gotten word when in June the larger US dealers will start getting NISMO parts in stock? We should be getting close to the release date.
my favorite dealership (Sutherlin Nissan Mall of Georgia), and Georgia Z club sponsor!
Anyway, I went in at 4:30 yesterday, to get 6 oil filters. I said to the guy, its June, any info on Nismo? He said, funny you should ask, turned his computer screen around, and showed me the email they had sent to Nissan, to get an update before our club meeting last nite. Unfortunately, no response from Nissan as of last night.
Now the good news. They have found out that Nismo parts will be available through the normal parts system with the normal markups, and thus will have room to be discounted!. Also, they felt, as I had assumed, that since the body kit stuff will be dealer accessories that can be added at time of purchase, that they will probably come pre-painted, like the splashguards
20% off, and prepainted! Plus, John Stramotas, the head of the Nismo project for Nissan told me at SEMA IAS that the prices would be lower than in Japan.

The planned official NISMO US release date is June 15th
NISMO parts have been shipped across the Pacific (or en-route)
Exterior parts are unpainted as shipped from Japan
We get all the same aero parts but with a different material composition to pass US regulations
The US S-tune suspension kit matches exactly the Japan spec to fix the bounce
I think that is all I am allowed to say

I might be proven wrong, but I hope not
