I can't imagine not calling the police... knowing that I might be partially responsible for what might happen to the next wife, father, or daughter the perp might target.

So i turn around like "WTF" and I see a guy that looks like a black kramer(seinfield), lol. He sits in my passenger seat with his feet still out of the car. He pulls out this revolver (prob a .357 judging from the bullet hole I can finger) and sticks it in the side of my ribcage and tells me to give him a ride.
So by now I am wishing that I had my .45 on me, but unfortunately I didt at the time. :
I carry (licensed) but I also keep my doors locked. You know, "...an ounce of prevention, etc..."

You are very lucky. I'm really glad you came out of it safe. No one should take an example from this. What he did was not smart at all. Even the best martial artists in the world wont be quick to wrestle around with someone with a gun. The smartest thing to do is comply. Yes, he may take the Z, is the Z worth your life? You got lucky, end of story, any one of 20 or more variables could have created a different outcome, a tragic outcome. Lastly, you should have called the police. He wont make the same mistake, maybe next time he'll shoot faster, or be more prepared for someone to resist, and then plug em.

I know you guys are joking about going back and running the guy over, but that would be considered assault with a deadly weapon. Just because they guy held a guy to you does not give you the right to run him over when he's no longer harming you. The law kinda suck, but that is the law.
If you get away with it and there was no one to see it, who cares? Scum like that deserve it. Besides, the OP can claim self-defense, point at the giantass bullet hole in his windshield, and then say that he was scared he'd fire again as he rode off so he had to immobilize him.
