So is the OP deaf?, as a 357 going off in the cab of a Z would have your ears ringing for days. Definitley something shady here...

ok, so I was just driving through town minding my own business. Im at a stop light, i look over to my left, then I hear a door open from the right. So i turn around like "WTF" and I see a guy that looks like a black kramer(seinfield), lol. He sits in my passenger seat with his feet still out of the car. He pulls out this revolver (prob a .357 judging from the bullet hole I can finger) and sticks it in the side of my ribcage and tells me to give him a ride. So by now I am wishing that I had my .45 on me, but unfortunately I didt at the time. The funny thing too is that I had just bought my Mac-11 a couple of hours prior to this happening. lol!!! But anyways, he looks around to see if anyone is watching and then as soon as he looks away I just pushed the gun up(towards my widshield) and BOOM, there goes a shot through the passenger side of my windshield. Then a started to push him out with my other hand and I just gas it at the same time, he falls out and I guess his foot hit my back bumper because he broke the bracket on my body kit (which i already fixed). So i just drove off into the night Super Pissed off!!! I couldnt calm down all night my adrenaline was pumping so fast, lol!!!
Man That sucks. Thats's why I have a CCW permit and carry my Glock 26/34 on me like American Express never leave home withput it

Did the OP even file a police report for his attempted Rice-car abduction? Any ballistics testing? Gun powder residue from a point-blank gun shot? No?? Hmmm.....

Also since the Op didn't catch this, I'll point it out. The hole is "coning" from an object hitting the glass from the ouside in. Not from the inside out as he claims.

That's what I originally thought. A .357, or any firearm going off inside of a vehicle (even if the door is open) would damage your ears severely. I remember watching a documentary about a serial killer who was recalling how he shot someone while inside of a car. Just like SargentZ mentioned, his ears were literally ringing for days. In fact, I think he said he was deaf for a few hours.

Hmmmm...I'm indecisive. I'm not ruling anything out, but it does seem a little farfetched.

Very scary when you have a .357 magnum pointed at your rib cage.

I'm not gonna call BS, however, I will point out my experiences with PB gunshots...

A handgun produces a fairly powerful overpressure wave that extends out a couple feet or more from the tip of the barrel. The power of this wave depends on the particular weapon and ammunition used. If the revolver was a .357 (whether loaded with .38 or .357 ammo), it could definitely produce a wave strong enough to create a much larger hole thru the windshield (or completely shatter it (yes, windshields can shatter)). The hole in the picture resembles one made from a foreign object traveling from a further distance away that from within several inches (assuming from your version of events).

Also, I'm trying to picture someone sitting in the passenger seat with their feet outside the vehicle. Uness that person was laying across the seat, their front-side would be facing towards the passenger door. This would make it extremely difficult for someone to place a gun against the driver's ribcage. For a person to leave both feet outside the vehicle then twist his torso in such a manner to face the driver would be a very unnatural position for that individual.

Also, a driver, with a suspect placing a gun barrel against their ribcage, would most likely have his right arm forward of the suspect's arm & weapon. To "push" the offenders arm towards the windshield would require the driver to either grab the suspects arm or weapon or loop it behind then push forward (an awkward maneuver)...

And there was no police call made after the described incident...

Just my observations...
