Smile Finally at one with my Z.

Last night I went to drive home and something cool happened. I sat down in my Z and started driving and everything just felt right. Like an old friend. From the seat position, visibility, sound of the engine, shifting, cornering, everything. Man I love this car.

Anyone out there know what I'm talking about?

by the way it happened at 2149 miles.

Not yet...still waitin to reach that.

I've had mine for about 3...goin on 4 months now and only put her first 1k miles on her. 800 of which were mine cause it came with close to 200 when she was delivered. Still bein broke in...but its tough cause I only drive it on weekends. And the weather has been CRAP in NY for the past 4 weekends straight, so she hasn't been out.

I hope that everything will start comin together like that tho.

I know exactly what your talking about. It took me about 3500 before I felt at ease with her. Now i know all of the shift points and how to match rpms exactly at any gear. One way to really learn about your cars characteristics is to take her out to a drag strip. I learned more about how to get her going in one night than in the 5 months ive had her combined.

I'm not quite there yet Still not the greatest at driving a stick, and having to alter all routes to avoid hills, and trying to park it right so her ghetto booty and wide front don't hit anything The bad suspension is so loud when I drive it is hard to tell if I'm shifting ok, and if I am creating a problem or not. But all that aside, I love my car

I feel that a the most when I need to go run errands; "oh no, we're out of milk..." and I pipe up "I'll go!".

I hate running errands, but to jump in the Z even just for a quick trip is just lovely. =)

I am the same way. It takes me 5 minutes to get out of my complex due to the speed bumps.

I'll then head about 15 miles to the farthest store I can think...
