Anyone else have this happen?

My wife is exactly the same way, but it's because it's a stick. The last stick she drove (my CRX) she totalled, so she's a little afraid of doing the same thing to my baby.

She said she wants me to put seats like mine in her Neon. I told her it's not gonna help, it's still a Neon.

I'm wondering if we should'nt take her new Camry instead - I don't want to put her off for life. A fix for the ride will come out one day.... I hope.

I'm curious if other owners partners are the same?

A quick temporary fix is to put alot of weight in the back. For a weekend get away this should be no problem if your wife packs as junk as my wife.

The thing to do is express empathy for her dislike of the ride. Show compassion for her feelings and AGREE with her point of view.
Set the hook... let it out that you have read about other members having the same problem *long sigh*
Then... LATER let it drop that there is a lot of excitement about all the new suspensions coming out. Give her the bell curve (really rough coilover to plush nismo - also exotic like 350EVO $1800 spherical bushings)......... *ALL getting rid of the bouncy ride*

She will then think "what a great gift" - Worked for me

It is kind of strange. My girlfriend hates to ride in the z unless it is just to cruise around town. She thinks it is a great car and she always says how cool it is, but when we are in it and she is trying to take a drink of water or red bull and the car takes a bounce, then it drips on her ,, ooohh then you better watch out Z. This is kind of strange, She drives a Jeep Wrangler and The Z drives like a Cadillac compared to that thing.

Compared to trips in my modded integra type r my wife loves trips in the Z. My R was real loud and a very stiff ride....never bothered me but my wife was not fond of it.

Well just a short update- we went away in the Z. The ride was just fine which I put down to the luggage in the trunk - as follows:

1 full set golf clubs and buggy (first in) behind the cross member near the seats.

1 mid sized bag for clothes.

1 cooler picnik bag full of food etc.

Several small soft bags with shoes wine books.

I was amazed I got so much in the car - the ride was out of sight better with the weight in the back (about 180lbs).

The wife even drove the car and admitted it was fine (manual gears - missed a few gears at first - no big deal).

We covered about 800 miles at an avereage speed of 75 mph and got about 30 mpg - outstanding.

I took a friends daughter for a short run on the windy backroads amoung the vineyards - what a blast! It is the first time I've really let it out around corners at speed. She was a real speed freak and wouldnt get out of the car. Makes it all worth while when you can really see what it can do.

Me and my wife swap cars often she enjoys driving the 350 (even with the choppy ride) and the Max shes never mad in the mornings when she sese what car I left her. She is a fast driver and just loves the Vq and drives the hell out of them both.
