Default Hit and run victim today.... (PICS)

Hey all, today i was a victim of a hit and run. A haitian dude hit my rear and pushed me out into a busy intersection, he then proceeded to bust a u-turn and run a red light. guess he didnt have insurance. the body shop said it'd be about 750ish... give or take.

that sucks. I'd be super angry if someone who hit me drove off like that.

I hope you get it fixed up soon.

I feel like there has been alot of hit and runs lately.
I had a hit and run 3 weeks ago, my damage came out to about $5,000 (New rims, tire, bumper, paint job, side mirrors, dents here and there)
needless to say, I was not happy, atleast insurance covered everything w/o raising premium.

$750 to buff off and paint a bumper? Get a second estimate pronto.

From what it looks like I would bet you have a lot of damage behind that bumper. Take it to a better respected shop for an estimate. Check out the BAR or the BBB first to find one in your area.

^^^ Good point indeed. It does look like the bumper compressed and decompressed in the collision. There could be invisible damage. I only hope you have a low-enough deductable on your insurance.

off topic question:
how did u know he was haitian, did he have haitian written on his forhead or something? i've wondered about that since watching "heroes" and them refering to that one guy at the "haitian" and that was the first thing anyone ever used to describe him. how can u tell a haitian from another black person?

Well the reason it is so expenisive is because i need a whole new bumper, u can't buff out the dents by the license plate. and the autobody shop did say that there may be damage behind the bumper, they said they wouldn't know till they took it off an what not. the place i went to was recommened by one of the guys from SFZCC (South Florida Z Car Club), so its a good shop, but idk. oh an the haitian thing.... they're probably 5 shades darker than an african american. thats how you know. and when they start speaking creole

Id bet the screws/brackets that hold on your rear signals are damaged. Only a matter of time before they break completely and your light falls back into the bumper. Get a new one.
