Was it due to excessive oil consumption, or something more serious like spun rod bearings?
I have always had Japanese cars (most of them high performance/turbocharged) and never thought of 100k miles as being "a lot of miles"... but everybody on here acts like a 350z with 100k miles is a miracle and must be on it's last leg.
its not rare at all for the 350 to go well beyond 100k. Ive had mine for two and a half years and watched the milage threads, and the 100k threads. Its just now that people are seeming to push it. A few have, like Mike, but the large sample base is more interesting. At least thats why I read threads like this is to see what to expect. If I had a civic, I would know what to expect for the most part.

I just hit 117,000 on mines. Everything is still stock. Clutch pedal seems still stiff for some reason compared to my friends Z. Oh well I hope it goes to 200,000!!

I have that same problem with the spark plugs at 76k but I just got my car all tuned up fresh breaks and tires so I plan to keep it at least another 20k.

With that much mileage, there's a lot of other stuff you should have changed by now: trans and diff fluids, brake fluid, coolant, belts, PS fluid, spark plugs.

Default Drive it till it dies

I have 165,640 miles on my 03 enthusiast, bought it new. Regular oil changes and maintenance, and have replaced both window motors. Runs great and gets about 26.2 MPG.
Love the car.
